It’s here! My first chapbook & second poetry collection, Prompted by Emotion with illustrations by @thesquaresamosa Born from daily prompts and the raw places the heart wanders during National Poetry Month, this collection is a journey through grief, desire, healing, and the quiet moments that change us. Every poem is a snapshot of feeling unedited, unfiltered, and achingly human. If you love emotional poetry, introspective writing, healing journeys, and cozy creative spaces, this book was made for you. Available now on Amazon and my website! . . . . . . . . . . . #writerscorner #poetsofig #readmorepoetry #indiepoetryplease #indiepoetry #poemsoftheday #spilledthoughts #femalewriters #creativewriters #writtenwords #writingistherapy #writingislife #poemsandproses #poetscorner #poetryisnotdead #micropoetry #poetrymemes by @zelliottwrites
✨I always found it funny how people will criticize Taylor Swift for writing about her relationships. While, she does write about more than that, I often wonder who doesn’t write about love? It is such a universal experience! Love is a complex and multifaceted emotion that can take us on a rollercoaster of highs and lows. There are said to be 3 stages of a relationship: infatuation, heartbreak, and healing. My debut poetry book, Sweet Sting covers each stage of love in 3 different chapters. Swipe to see how I break down 3 poems and explain each theme. ✨Infatuation often starts as a whirlwind of excitement and passion that consumes our thoughts and emotions. However, infatuation can sometimes lead to heartbreak, as we come to realize that love is not always perfect and relationships can be filled with challenges and obstacles. Despite the pain of heartbreak, it can also be a transformative experience that leads to healing and growth. Through self-reflection, self-care, and self-acceptance, we can heal from past wounds, learn from our experiences, and emerge stronger and more resilient. The journey through the different stages of love is a profound and often challenging process, but it is ultimately a journey of self-discovery and personal evolution. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #writerscorner #poetsofig #readmorepoetry #indiepoetryplease #indiepoetry #poemsoftheday #spilledthoughts #femalewriters #creativewriters #writtenwords #writingistherapy #writingislife #poemsandproses #poetscorner #poetryisnotdead #micropoetry #poetrymemes by @zelliottwrites
