imbibing abundance by @zenbutzany
Not your typical recap. My trip to India isnā€™t exactly what I expected. I was this close šŸ¤ to not going. My grandpa passed 2 months ago from cancer, and grieving him has beenā€¦ strange. The complexities of grief are uncharted territory for me, and Iā€™m finding it hard to be present in generalā€”nonetheless fully enjoy any grandiose adventure. Right before my trip to India, I found out I had to move out abruptly. Scrambling for a place to live, working, packing, grievingā€¦ I was (and am) so tired. Then miss universe hit me with a debilitating ear infection which almost barred me from flying anyway. Iā€™m not exactly sure why I still went, but I did. My first couple of nights in India were sleepless and full of tearsā€”my dog was hit by a car and went missing back in Miami (heā€™s okay now). At that point, I was truly just pissed off. How much can one nervous system take? This is not how this was supposed to go. I resist the urge to ask why everything is happening to me all at onceā€¦ I am no victim. But I kind of worry: is it possible to be so overwhelmed that I miss whatever the lesson is? I did not have a spiritual breakthrough there like everyoneā€™s curiosity presumes; Iā€™m so at peace with what my experience in such a remarkable part of the world brought up for me. Iā€™m not nor will I ever be the poster child for a ā€œyogiā€ (ha). I am many things, and sometimes those things are stressed, irritated, frustrated, distracted, messy, and overwhelmed. Thatā€™s okay!!!! Itā€™s part of it!! Balancing all of these happenings and travelings and their accompanying emotions has taught me a few things so far: 1) as easy as it is to feel frustrated, it doesnā€™t matter why shit happens. What matters isā€¦ how do I meet this moment? 2) itā€™s not up to me to decide how anything is ā€œsupposedā€ to go in this life. Even though itā€™s proving challenging to get back to a gratitude-based mindset at the moment, what matters is Iā€™m trying. 3) asking for help works!TY to my friends, fam, and fellow teachers for supporting me thru this, TY to all of my social media homies for helping bring Romeo home. My heart could explode. If your life is also life-ing, youā€™re not alone šŸ«‚ - newest chai addict by @zenbutzany

āœØ NEW SEVEN-WEEK SERIES AT BALANCE YOU SEEK āœØ You may know the names of the seven chakras, but do you know how they actually show up in your body, emotions, relationships, confidence, voice, intuition, and connection to yourself? And even if you understand chakras, is your energy truly moving in balance? Introducingā€¦ šŸŒˆ CHAKRA ALCHEMY A Seven-Week Journey to Alignment This is not a lecture about chakras or simply another yoga class. It is an immersive journey through the seven energy centers, moving from Root to Crown. Each week, weā€™ll explore one chakra through: āœØ Chakra-focused yoga and somatic movement āœØ Breathwork and pranayama āœØ Mantra and chanting āœØ Meditation and guided visualization āœØ Intentional music and sound frequencies āœØ Practices to support balance beyond the studio Youā€™ll learn what each chakra represents, how imbalance may appear in your everyday life, and how to support greater alignment and energetic flow through embodied practice. Iā€™m so thrilled to welcome Claudia Stevens @zenbutzany into the Balance You Seek @byss.mia family and experience the magic she is bringing into this space. Claudia @zenbutzany is an active teacher and guide within the Miami wellness community. Her work brings together yoga, somatics, breathwork, meditation, mantra, Reiki, and sound healing, rooted in both ancient yogic wisdom and modern nervous-system awareness. Whether the chakra system is completely new to you or youā€™ve explored energy work for years, this journey will take you beyond simply knowing the information. Youā€™ll experience it in your body. Each class builds upon the one before it, so we encourage you to join us for the complete seven-week journey. You can also drop into the individual chakra classes that speak to you. OCTOBER 15ā€“NOVEMBER 25 Thursdays at 7:00ā€“8:15 PM Final class Wednesday, November 25 Balance You Seek Healing Studio, South Beach Full-journey and drop-in options available.
