Notte ad alta tensione nel Golfo Persico tra le forze armate iraniane e statunitensi. Gli Usa, che ieri avevano messo fuori uso la petroliera 'Lexie' diretta verso l'Iran, hanno condotto "raid difensivi" sull'isola di Qeshm, colpendo una torre radio. Gli iraniani hanno reagito lanciando missili contro la nave 'Panaya' e prendendo di mira il Kuwait e il Bahrein. "Abbiamo danneggiato la base della V Flotta Usa", rivendicano i pasdaran. "Falso", risponde Washington: "Tutti i loro attacchi sono andati a vuoto". Droni iraniani hanno colpito un terminale passeggeri dell'aeroporto internazionale del Kuwait, causando diversi feriti e costretto alla chiusura del traffico aereo. Lo riportano le autorità kuwaitiane. Secondo la tv iraniana, esplosioni sono state inoltre udite in Iraq, e le sirene avrebbero suonato anche in Arabia Saudita. We’re honoured to announce that the impact campaign behind our upcoming documentary has received an award at the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH).Only a select few knew about this film’s existence, and now you do too.For the past eight years, cameras have quietly followed the journey of the Gaza Sunbirds, from a life-altering injury to building a movement of amputee athletes in Gaza.What began as one story grew into something much bigger: Athletes delivering aid, organising communities, and rebuilding pathways through sport.This award recognises the impact campaign behind the film, a collaboration to bring sport back to Gaza and expand access for people with disabilities.The documentary is coming soon…🎬But the work has already begun. by @flavia.cappellini

Hundreds of thousands of ultra-Orthodox men are rallying at the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday for a “million man” protest against military conscription. The protest is the only demonstration in recent years to unite nearly all sects and factions of the ultra-Orthodox community, which do not often mingle with one another.The protest was organized in response to the crackdown on Haredi draft dodgers in recent months, leading to over 870 arrests, amounting to 7% of the 6,975 ultra-Orthodox men who have been declared draft dodgers.Next week will be presented by the government an attempts to sets a long-term target of enlisting 50 percent of each annual ultra-Orthodox draft cohort within five years, a large parte of the Israeli society is critics of it, saying the bill is more of a symbolic effort than a serious enforcement tool, offering incentives and loopholes that may allow many ultra-Orthodox young men to avoid service entirely. The ultra-orthodox population (13,9% of total Israelis) are also against it, rejecting the military conscription in full. During the summer, United Torah Judaism, an ultra orthodox party formerly in coalition with Bibi’s government, bolted the coalition over this law, leaving Bibi with a bare majority of 61 lawmakers in the Knesset, out of 120. Another ultra-orthodox coalition party, Shas, withdraw all its members from government roles over the same issues. Legislative elections are scheduled to be held in Israel by 27 October 2026 to elect the 120 members of the 26th Knesset. But strangled between a messianic right, against the ceasefire in Gaza, and the ultra-orthodox partners, Netanyahu government is shaking. Corruption accusations and the failure of Oct7th are also elements that might risk snap elections, leaving the country with the prospect of navigating a very fragile ceasefire in Gaza in a political turmoil. by @flavia.cappellini
