FUTURE FACE-CHANGING THEATRE｜OVERSIZED WHITE COSTUME

A 2–3 metre long white costume designed for the theatre exhibition area of Future Face-Changing Theatre.

This oversized garment is not only a costume, but also a spatial archive of the five mask identities. Text, attitude statements and colour identities are projected across the translucent skirt, turning the body into a moving surface of memory, belief and transformation.

Here, typography becomes texture.
The costume becomes space.
And the female body becomes the centre of the mask system.

这是一套为《Future Face-Changing Theatre》剧场展览区域设计的 2–3 米长巨型白色戏服。

它不只是一件服装，也是一种承载五种脸谱身份的空间档案。文字、态度宣言与颜色身份被投射在半透明裙摆上，让身体成为记忆、信念与身份转换的流动界面。

在这里，文字成为肌理。
戏服成为空间。
女性身体成为脸谱系统的中心。

PINK MASK / SEER
The Fifth Mask - See Beyond the World

This is the fifth mask of Future Face-Changing Theatre.

Worn by Guest Performer @mwarwiee Marie Thellier, Pink Mask is a biomaterial face mask developed as a living extension of vision, memory and ancestral trace.

The pink costume was designed specifically for this mask. Its translucent layers move, unfold and surround the body, carrying the words:

SEER - SEE BEYOND THE WORLD
先知 — 看透一切

In this mask-and-costume system, pink is not sweetness or weakness.
It is afterglow, intuition, memory and vision.

If red is belief,
blue is strategy,
black is judgement,
and green is force,
then pink is vision.

It asks:

What remains after action?
What can the body remember beyond language?
What happens when inheritance is felt, rather than only written?

Through Marie Thellier’s performance, the pink costume becomes more than a symbol of softness. It becomes a moving body of sensing, remembering and seeing beyond the visible world.

This is the moment when the female warrior no longer looks only at what is in front of her.
She begins to see beyond it.

粉色脸谱 / 先知
第五张脸 — 看透一切

这是《未来川剧变脸剧场》中的第五张脸谱。

它由生物材料研发制作而成，由 Guest Performer Marie Thellier 佩戴并展示。粉色戏服为这张脸谱专属设计，半透明的粉色层次随着身体展开、旋转与包裹，将“先知 — 看透一切”的信息带入表演之中。

在这组面具与戏服系统中，粉色不是甜美，也不是脆弱。
粉色是余温、直觉、记忆与洞见。

如果红色是信念，
蓝色是策略，
黑色是裁决，
绿色是力量，
那么粉色就是洞见。

它提出的问题是：

行动之后，还留下了什么？
身体能记住语言之外的什么？
如果传承不是只被写下，而是被身体感知，会发生什么？

在 Marie Thellier 的身体演绎中，粉色戏服不只是柔和的象征，而成为一种感应、记忆与看见不可见之物的身体。

这是女性将军不再只看眼前世界的瞬间。
她开始看见世界之外的东西。

GREEN MASK / FORCE
The Fourth Mask - Act Without Fear

This is the fourth mask of Future Face-Changing Theatre.

Worn by Guest Performer @kristastinks Krista Pearl McAtee, Green Mask is a biomaterial face mask developed as a living extension of instinct, vitality and untamed force.

The green costume was designed specifically for this mask. Its translucent layers move, expand and erupt with the body, carrying the words:

FORCE - ACT WITHOUT FEAR
力量 — 本能出击

In Chinese opera facial makeup, green often suggests bravery, impulsiveness, wild strength and unrestrained energy.

Here, green is not softness.
It is impulse, vitality, danger and growth.

If red is belief,
blue is strategy,
and black is judgement,
then green is force.

It asks:

What happens when the body moves before permission is given?
What happens when instinct becomes a way of resistance?
What happens when tradition begins to grow, collide and erupt?

Through Krista Pearl McAtee’s performance, the green costume becomes more than a symbol of strength. It becomes a moving body of instinct, expansion and fearless action.

This is the moment when the female warrior stops holding back.
She no longer waits to be understood.
She acts.

它由生物材料研发制作而成，由 Guest Performer Krista Pearl McAtee 佩戴并展示。绿色戏服为这张脸谱专属设计，半透明的绿色层次随着身体展开、扩张与爆发，将“力量 — 本能出击”的信息带入表演之中。

在中国戏曲脸谱中，绿色常常带有勇猛、冲动、野性力量与未经驯服的能量。

在这里，绿色不是温柔。
绿色是冲动、生命力、危险与生长。

如果红色是信念，
蓝色是策略，
黑色是裁决，
那么绿色就是力量。

它提出的问题是：

当身体先于许可而行动，会发生什么？
当本能成为一种抵抗方式，会发生什么？
当传统开始生长、冲撞、爆发，会发生什么？

在 Krista Pearl McAtee 的身体演绎中，绿色戏服不只是力量的符号，而成为一种本能、扩张与无惧行动的身体。

这是女性将军不再克制自己的瞬间。
她不再等待被理解。
她开始行动。

This is the second mask of Future Face-Changing Theatre.

Worn by Guest Performer @carolinamanriqz Carolina Manríquez Poblete, Blue Mask is a biomaterial face mask developed as a thinking extension of the body.

The blue costume was designed specifically for this mask. Its translucent layers carry the words:

STRATEGIST - MY MIND IS MY WEAPON
策略家 — 以智为刃

In Chinese opera facial makeup, blue often carries strength, sharpness, resistance and control.

Here, blue is not softness.
It is calculation, focus, judgement and power.

If red asks, “What do I fight for?”
Blue asks, “How do I enter the system and change it?”

This is the moment when the female warrior is no longer seen only as a symbol of courage, but as a thinking body - one that observes, decides and acts.

它由生物材料研发制作而成，由 Guest Performer Carolina Manríquez Poblete 佩戴并展示。蓝色戏服为这张脸谱专属设计，半透明的蓝色层次随着身体展开，将“策略家 — 以智为刃”的信息带入表演之中。

在中国戏曲脸谱中，蓝色常常带有刚强、锋利、反叛与控制的意味。

在这里，蓝色不是柔和。
它是计算、专注、判断与力量。

如果红色在问：
“我为什么而战？”

那么蓝色在问：
“我如何进入这个系统，并改变它？”

这是女性将军不再只被看作勇敢的象征，而成为一个会观察、会判断、会行动的思考身体。

The Third Mask - I Decide What Is Just

This is the third mask of Future Face-Changing Theatre.

Worn by Guest Performer @mycringefashionaccount Chris Snyder, Black Mask is a biomaterial face mask developed as a living extension of judgement, boundary and power.

The black costume was designed specifically for this mask. Its translucent layers move with the body, carrying the words:

ARBITER - I DECIDE WHAT IS JUST
裁决者 — 由我裁决

In Chinese opera facial makeup, black is often associated with integrity, severity, authority and impartial judgement.

Here, black is not darkness.
It is law, mirror, boundary and decision.

If red is belief,
and blue is strategy,
then black is judgement.

It asks:

Who is allowed to enter tradition?
Who is excluded?
Who has the right to perform, inherit and transform?

Through Chris Snyder’s performance, the black costume becomes more than an image of authority. It becomes a moving body of refusal, confrontation and decision.

This is the moment when the female warrior no longer asks for permission.
She observes the rules, confronts them, and begins to decide what is just.

在中国戏曲脸谱中，黑色常常象征刚毅、正直、严肃、威严与铁面无私。

在这里，黑色不是黑暗。
黑色是法度、镜面、边界与决定。

如果红色是信念，
蓝色是策略，
那么黑色就是裁决。

它提出的问题是：

谁被允许进入传统？
谁被排除在外？
谁有资格表演、继承和改变？

在 Chris Snyder 的身体演绎中，黑色戏服不只是权威的图像，而成为一种拒绝、对峙与裁决的身体。

这是女性将军不再请求许可的瞬间。
她看见规则，直面规则，并开始决定什么才是公正。
