🌀 I had the honour of bringing the very first art and colour to the office of a tech start up!

🚪 The archway shape is important to them as a portal to new ideas and tech that will improve our future. I worked with this shape, along with circles and a golden flowing path to represent innovation, possibility, and playfulness.

👀 I really pushed myself creatively on this one, using new stylistic elements and *gasp* a bit of shadowing to create some depth in this piece. As always, pushing out of your comfort zone feels scary, but getting to the other side of it is so satisfying, and I think, as a result, this piece is a huge success. I hope to make more ABSTRACT work like this in the future!!

💖 Thanks to @chelseaamoran for your collaboration and trust in this process. Let this mural be the beginning of an exciting new future in this space ✨

🌻 Fleurs en croissance 🪻

🌹 At the end of June I had the pleasure of painting a bright, abstract floral mural for the loveliest family! They have been working hard on creating their back yard, and wanted me to bring some bright colour to be a backdrop to their outdoor space 🥲

🌺 I was so excited they chose this design, it’s a language of shapes I had explored before but never had the chance to turn into a mural. It’s the perfect combination of a reference to a growing plant that’s reaching up towards the sun, while still maintaining that abstract geometric mystery I love to express.

🌿 Merci infiniment a @vincent.cg2 et @dr_minou pour votre confiance et votre enthousiasme, j’espère que vous apprécierez ces couleurs joyeuses et dansantes pendant de nombreuses années!

🌀 Tu es sur le bon chemin 🎀 You are on the right path 🛣️

There’s so much to say about this piece. The message means a lot to me, the composition was a new challenge, and it’s in my neighbourhood - where do I begin?

I experienced a lot of self-doubt and imposter syndrome at the end of this summer, and found it hard to make anything I liked. I must have made 100 sketches for this wall, each time feeling like I was getting closer, and then scrapping what I’d made and starting over again.

So I created this piece thinking about “what would I want to read on a wall? What’s important to me?”.

You are on the right path (Tu es sur le bon chemin in French to connect with the francophone community) is a reminder that, despite the doubts and worries we have about our decisions, every choice leads us in the right direction.

The words “bon chemin” are woven into the pink waves of the mural, symbolizing the different paths we face in life. Each one offers us a new direction. Whatever you choose, trust that you’re heading where you need to go.

So if you’re out for a walk to clear your head, maybe you’ll stumble on this wall. My wish is that it gives you some hope, some courage. I think it helped me a lot.

🌈I had a sweet little start to my summer, getting to work with kids for the first time in years!

🖌️ @mumtl invited me to create a mural with the kiddos speaking about the UN’s rights of the child (yes, again!), this time expressing the right to rest and play, learn, and self-expression.

💞 Thank you to École les enfants du monde and their teacher Carolina for including me in this project, as well as the ever-wonderful folks at MU for making yet another beautiful project and their support @imazinachion @justine_gregoire @alexplosion.boom @dianeroe Loïc, @olivier_b for the photos and of course Stephanie Harel 💕

☀️ Life has been busy lately so I haven’t had much time to post. So here’s some bits and bites of art life recently just to let you know I’m alive and still creating! I can’t wait to show you what these are all about 🌈 by @zoegelfant

“I just bought a new pair of sunglasses to wear to paint murals this summer, and I knew the case could use my personal touch. POSCA markers are some of my all-time favorite art materials, and I knew their opaque acrylic ink would be the perfect material for getting the job done.

I wanted the case to be bright and happy, something that puts a smile on my face every time I reach for my glasses. I wanted it to feel like there was a space nebula flooding across the case, with stars floating all around.

It was a project where I could just dive in with no plan, which gave me the perfect chance to show that process in stop motion! Any chance to add bright, happy colorr to the world in a new way is what keeps me coming back to making art over and over again.” @zoegelfant

🌅 L’Espoir sur l’horizon (Hope On The Horizon)

🎨 I had the pleasure to honour L’Abri de le Rive-Sud’s 25th anniversary in February with a bright, hopeful mural. The cafeteria is the central gathering space at the shelter, where residents, visitors, and staff alike gather to have a hot meal, chat with their friends, escape the cold, even write some songs.

🌄The mural represents a calming landscape, with a golden path that carries over the mountains, leading up to the sun.

🏔️The mountains symbolize the trials and challenges we encounter in life, but in the midst of them, a golden path guides our gaze towards the rising sun in the background, representing hope on the horizon and a brighter future.
