Our beautiful Zoonie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 5, 2025. Just five days later, on March 10, she underwent amputation of her left hind leg
By July 12, 2025, she had completed six rounds of chemotherapy, powering through and reminding us every day why she was our soul dog.
But on October 2, 2025, scans showed the cancer had spread to her lungs. We chose to continue fighting with oral chemotherapy, hoping to keep her comfortable and by our side longer.
In January 2026, the Palladia began causing severe side effects, including bloody diarrhea, so we paused treatment for a much needed break. Sadly, we learned the medication was no longer effective, and the cancer had progressed aggressively. Zoonie, who once lit up the room with her energy, started to lose interest in her favorite things. She struggled to breathe, and we could see the toll it was taking on her body and spirit.
In the end, we faced the hardest decision any pet parent can make. With heavy hearts but surrounded by love, we let her go peacefully, freeing her from pain and honoring the incredible life she lived.

Zoonie crossed the rainbow bridge today. We will miss you forever, our sweet baby girl. Thank you for filling our lives with unconditional love, joy, and the most beautiful memories. Run free, our angel. 🕊️🐾

Zoonie vs. Osteosarcoma.
She fought with everything she had. When the disease took away the things she loved most, we knew it was time to let her rest. We couldn’t bear to watch her suffer. This cancer is incredibly aggressive and things could change quickly. Choosing peace for her was the hardest but most loving decision we could make.

Zoonie was never “just a dog.” She was family, our loyal companion, and a piece of our hearts. From the moment she came into our lives, she filled our home with so much love, personality, and joy. Her gentle eyes, her little quirks, the way she stayed close to us—those are the moments we will cherish forever.

Over the past year, Zoonie showed us what true strength and unconditional love look like. Through every challenge, she remained brave and full of love. We did everything we could to give her more time, more comfort, and more moments filled with happiness. Every extra day with her was a gift.

One of the hardest decisions we ever had to make was letting her go, but it came from a place of pure love. We wanted her to be at peace and free from pain. She left this world surrounded by love, just as she lived her life—with our hearts right beside hers.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Kali, who helped us give Zoonie a peaceful goodbye at home and guided us through such a heartbreaking moment with so much compassion and care. It meant everything to us to let her pass in the comfort of her home, where she felt safe and loved.

Zoonie’s paw prints will forever remain on our hearts. She taught us loyalty, patience, and the truest form of unconditional love. Our home feels quieter without her, but the love she gave us will never fade.

Run free across the rainbow bridge, sweet Zoonie. Thank you for every cuddle, every wag of your tail, and every beautiful memory. You will always be loved, always missed, and never forgotten.

Forever our baby girl. 🕊️🐾🤍
