MY COVER OF WILL WOOD’S “Misanthrapologist” IS FINALLY OUT! I’m so incredibly excited to share this with you all, I started recording this back in April with the intention of it being a big collab project with a few fellow rising freshmen at Berklee College of Music, but even though that fell through, the record still features some amazing performances from Blake Lasek and Natalie Han on bass guitar! Absolutely talented musicians and great friends of mine that I can’t wait to hang out with more in Boston. I’d also like to give a shoutout to my friends Hermes Reep, Zo Pietras, my roommate Daniel, and Zach Strong for providing additional backing vocals and direction for the track, the latter two being credited for the instrumentation / additions they saw a vision for. On the second slide you’ll also see that I’m soft-announcing my first solo show in Pittsburgh! More details on a seperate post will be made tomorrow, but save the date my friends!! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this cover and it makes you move somehow even more than it does me. #music #indie #newmusic #berklee #cover by @zos_music2468

As my high school years come to an end, I can’t help but take the time to look back on the last four years of my life. I won’t lie: they sucked. Waking up before sunrise, bullies, chemistry packets, suspicious cafeteria food, homework, tests, quizzes, chemistry tests and quizzes, sleepless nights, all while having a job after school and finding the time to practice and understand chemistry
truthfully, I won’t miss it. However, through all of the misery, I have learned a lot about myself. I love cats. I like english and history. I hate chemistry. I hate figured bass. I hate people who use others for their own benefit. I think the most important thing that I learned about myself is how strong I can be. Whenever I got knocked down, I always got back up. When I made mistakes, I learned from them. When I wanted to get revenge, I made my anger and bitterness into art. These last four years may have not been my best, but they definitely shaped me into the strong and independent woman that I am today. My advice to you: find something that brings out the best in you. When you feel like giving up, that thing will pick you up and push you forward. When you want to choose hate, that thing will make you choose love, not because you’ve forgiven the ugly, but because you’ve found the beauty in yourself. by @zos_music2468
