Are you a fan of the music and lyricism of SZA? Lana Del Rey? Khalid? Zayn Malik? Troye Sivan? Snoh Aalegra?

Well then you should check out my poetry collection 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘺’𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘦𝘮𝘴 that deals with the themes of unrequited love, limerence, heartache and healing.

Here’s to the sad boys out there who don’t give krag weg and don’t koppel feelings!

Thank you to Jacana Media and Exclusive Books for making this dream possible.

See you at the book launch this week!

I am proud to announce that my first novel, 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮, will be available at all bookstores this end of January. See you at the book launch on Thursday, 5 February, at Exclusive Books Cavendish at 17h30 ❤️📚

The novel is a coming-of-age story that follows the narrator named Muhammad, who on the day of his wedding, is pulled into the forbidden memories and secrets of his adolescence — a time when his faith and forbidden desires collided. As a young man in a close-knit Muslim community in Cape Town, Muhammad used to feel trapped between who he was and who he was expected to be. by @zubayrcharles

The script for 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦, 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘦 is now available in print at local bookstores and includes never-before-staged Acts 2 and 3.

Thank you @karavanpress for giving this story a home beyond the stage 🎭📚 by @zubayrcharles

I want to thank each and everyone who came to support our show, 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦, 𝘛𝘰𝘵 𝘓𝘢𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘰𝘦. A reminder to all those reading this caption: never give up on your dreams. This story started out as a short story twelve years ago, and look where Junaid and Luqmaan are now!

Thank you to the theatre goat, @carlo.daniels, for bringing this show to life. You pushed me and this story in ways I would’ve never imagined. What an honour it has been to learn from you again.

A massive thank you to @anzio_september and @abdullatief693 for bringing Junaid and Luqmaan to life. You both brought me to tears each night.

Shout out to our stage hands @harmoniousarrangement , @frankysteyn1 , @maloka_tshiamo , and
@samoniquejasson — this show would not have been a success without all your help; as well as our beloved Baxter family, @faniswa_yisa, @fahiemstellenboom and Bra Xola!

Last, and surely bot least, to @nishaatbardien, thank you for allowing us to exhibit your beautiful art! What a pleasure it was to have you a part of our show.

May we all continue to spread the message of this show — continuously live life honestly and peacefully, and may we all try to be better humans. 💙💙
