WHAT IF… THE RUNAWAYS HADN’T RUN AWAY? 💥

Tomorrow, What If…? Runaways #1 hits shelves, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited to finally share this one with you.

I worked incredibly hard on this book because the Runaways are a story I’ve always loved. Getting the chance to bring these characters back to life for their 20th anniversary special, and to give them a whole new look, was such an incredible honor. ❤️

But this time, as you can probably tell… things have changed.

This isn’t quite the Runaways we remember. 👀
This What If…? is going to surprise you.

One of my favorite parts of the whole process was designing their new superhero costumes!
Reimagining these rebellious, unconventional, wonderfully chaotic characters in a new version of their story was such a fun challenge, and I poured a lot of love into every page. I really hope you’ll enjoy discovering this new side of them as much as I did bringing it to life. 🙏💖

ROGUE : THE SAVAGE LAND issue 1 out in January!

It's been announced, I'm working together with @timseeley , @Marvelcomics and @aranciastudio on the incredible relaunch of Rogue in the SAVAGE LAND!

Do you know what that means? That I can finally draw lots of nature and lots of dinosaurs! And especially my Rogue+Magneto crush! (I'm still screaming, I love this story)
Thank you marvel for entrusting me with the perfect story for me and thank you Tim for writing it! Your stories are so much fun!

I can't wait for you guys to be able to read it, I think it's going to be cool.
It comes out in January 2025! So don't miss it ♡

So, here we are. I wanted to take some time to tell you about the incredible and unique experience I had, even before I was announced by @cbcebulski as the winner of #marvelartatelier 2024
.
Accompanied by a team of young, talented, fun, supporters and artists, my new friends/green dogs @matteo_della_fonte @roimercado_ @kylerclodfelter @adrianbonillacomics , who always encouraged me (despite my bad English).

All of this would never have been possible without @cbcebulski @wizardofcroz23 and @marvelcomics & @disneyhotelnewyorkartofmarvel an opportunity like this comes to you maybe once in a lifetime.
And you made it possible, you chose us out of thousands of young artists to have a magical experience.
.
Shit, guys, when does it happen again for you to shoot spider-bots on a team with CB. (Don't challenge him, he's too strong).
.
The most interesting thing was living in the midst of the creative process every day, exchanging ideas and improving our work as artists.
Our mentors @sara_pichelli , @adamkubert @carmencarneroart and @oliviercoipel enlightened me with their skills, words and teaching. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following and encouraging us, I will never forget ♡
.
Thank you all for the incredible support, for believing in me and giving me strength and encouragement, I am excited about this new path in my life, and starting it this way has already been an immense gift.💫 by @zulemascottolavina

A little appreciation post for my Mad Hatter costume, which reminded me how important it is to make time for creative things, just for the joy of creating. ✨

Let’s not forget how wonderful it is to bring something into existence out of absolutely nothing. 💫

This little troublemaker looks READY for action… and I’m not sure we’re ready for him! 😂

You know what I love most about drawing characters? 🖤

It’s not just about drawing them, it’s about imagining who they are, how they move, how they react, what makes each of them different. It’s about giving them a personality and a life of their own, even through the smallest details.

That’s what makes drawing the Runaways so special to me. I feel like each of these kids has something unique to say, and I love exploring their personalities through my art. They’re not just characters on a page, they each have their own little world inside them. ✨

Here are some details from What If…? Runaways x Marvel 💜

The sweetest purrrr can become the grandest hissss, in a flash! Prowling through with our next featured artist- please welcome, @zulemascottolavina ||
A divine comic artist who inspires the hell out of me! As an illustrator, Zulema has a sassy and unbelievably gorgeous art style that has been featured on Marvel Comics covers ever since she won the Marvel Art Atelier contest in 2024.
When it comes to kitty cats, I melteddd over the first piece alone. Then I continued to look through her work, and here we are: awestruck.
Take a peek at these personal faves- including a few stellar Disney comics!! It is an absolute treat to say that we have a collaboration on the way.
Stay tuned… by @zulemascottolavina

I felt like revisiting my beloved Rogue and playing around with digital painting again! 💚

You really seemed to love my Black Cat piece, and I had SO much fun creating it, so I thought… why not turn it into a series? ✨

Playing with symmetry, a little Eve and the Serpent symbolism, and Rogue in her Savage Land era. 🐍🍃

If you like this piece, let me know! And if I were to turn this into a bigger print series, which character would you love to see next? 👀💚

Who framed the XXX-plorers for murder? More importantly, can they last long enough in the F*CK OFFS competition to find out, especially as all their best bangs from the past take part?

Painting Thor with Ecoline

I really need to do more of this. There’s something about painting by hand that I just love.

Do you guys like these painting reels? Or are they boring? 🤔

This original is available through @comicsketchart.eu, on their website and at upcoming conventions.
More hand-painted pieces coming soon! 🎨
