A symbol of gratitude for the season 🤎✨

This piece was inspired by @oddragone 😘💕. She suggested creating a portrait of a hand, and it immediately got me thinking about openness, gratitude, and the quiet power of simple gestures. An outstretched hand can hold so many meanings, giving, receiving, blessing, connection.

Creating this piece was a gentle reminder to stay open to all that’s unfolding, especially in this season of reflection.

#ZPTribe, I’d love to hear from you, do you have any ideas or moments you’d love to see turned into a piece in the new year? Your suggestions always spark something special ✨🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

Thought I’d pop in and show my face real quick to mark the new month 👋🏾. Then it’s right back to just showing my hands 😅

Speaking of focus—check out my stories to see some of the little projects I’m working on at home.

As artists, it’s easy to get so caught up in creating for others that we forget to make space for ourselves.

Right now, I’m resurfacing our dining table (we’ve had it for over 10 years!) and working on a new wall piece for the downstairs half bath.

Sometimes, creating just for you is the best kind of reset.

Happy July #ZPtribe 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

Feeling extra grateful for the ebb and flow of life lately. I’m reading a book that talks about our human desire to smooth out the highs and lows into one steady line of calm and how that “flat line” is actually the closest thing to death.

The dips in our lives make the peaks meaningful, and the peaks remind us why we keep going through the dips.

Celebrating my dad on the beautiful island of Sal was one of those unforgettable highs 🌴✨. The planning process? Whew! definitely a roller coaster 😂. But I’m so thankful for my siblings and the incredible team at @CaboMiceEvents who helped bring everything together so beautifully.

Life will always rise and fall but moments like this remind me just how sweet the highs can be. 💙 by @zuriperle

She's finally done! 💃🏿💃🏿

I shared a few progress shots in my stories while working on her. This one definitely tested my patience, but she was worth every minute.

I'm a little scared to start the next piece because she's bigger and a lot more complicated. 😅 But what's life without a few artistic adventures?

🤞🏾 Here's hoping I gather the courage to get started next week! I'll share progress shots in my stories as always. 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

Isn’t it funny how sometimes we get exactly what we’ve been wanting, but then the universe delivers it at the craziest possible time? 😂

You know those moments when you feel like a contestant on Physical:100, arms stretched out, trying to hold onto two weights without getting pulled in either direction?

That’s the space of duality.

Pin Pin is a reminder that the tension between two things, isn’t always something we need to escape.

Sometimes, it’s the very thing building our strength and moving us one step closer to the balance we’re looking for.

So if you’re feeling a little stretched right now, maybe you’re stronger than you think. 🫶🏾 #ZPTribe by @zuriperle

Still smiling from this one. 🤎

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my boot ,@dentonjazzfest spent time with the work, asked questions, shared stories, and took a Zuri Perle piece home with you. I never take those moments of connection for granted.

The cherry on top? We won Best Display! 😀 Creating a space that feels like an extension of the work is something I put a lot of thought into, so this one felt really special.💃🏿

Next up: PGA Fall Market. 🍂 Hope to see some familiar faces there 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

Sometimes it’s just the road.

The Oyin symbol always makes me think about the spaces of duality we move through, and how sweetness can exist alongside the complicated parts of life’s journey.

Sometimes those complicated parts can feel so big and overwhelming that we mistake them for the destination. But often, they’re simply carrying us toward something we couldn’t have reached without them.

Maybe that’s the reminder, what we’re moving through isn’t always where we’re meant to stay. 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

I love when a piece finds its forever home. 🤎

This couple made a beeline for my female portraits @dentonjazzfest , and she chose this one for her nightstand.

I shared that I started making these portraits during a time when I felt inundated with stories about how women were being treated around the world.

Looking back, I think my subconscious was creating the opposite of what I was seeing, peace, beauty, softness. The kinds of spaces I wish every woman had the freedom to exist in.

She also mentioned that they have twin toddlers, which made the nightstand detail stay with me even more.

There’s something beautiful about this piece finding its way into her own personal space. And I love knowing that its story gets to continue beyond me. 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

Oooh, Mother Universe has been throwing quite a few curveballs these last few weeks. 😅

While setting up at Denton Jazz Fest, I was hanging this piece and had one of those moments where the meaning behind the work hit a little differently.

It felt like such a powerful reminder of the resilience we sometimes have to find when life starts throwing those curveballs around the corner.

So, whatever comes your way this week, ZPTribe, I hope you carve out a little time to celebrate the small wins, give yourself some credit for how far you’ve come, and remember just how amazing you are. 🫶🏾 by @zuriperle

The Pause by @the.wellness.keys was beautiful last year, but somehow even better this year 🌟
My favorite part is still the sound bath at the end. I fall asleep every single time 😂 and wake up feeling completely refreshed. 🫶🏾 @justputjoy

It felt really good to step away from the giant roller coaster that is life, slow down, breathe, and just pause.
And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my space, connected with my work, and took a little piece of Zuri Perle home with them. That part always means so much to me. ❤️

Thank you @the.wellness.keys for creating such a beautiful space for us to pause, reconnect, and reset. by @zuriperle

I’ve been working on a new symbol, and this one has me thinking about something I’ve been learning to practice in my own life.

Can you guess what it represents?😀

Hint: sometimes protecting your peace requires a little more than just saying no. by @zuriperle

If beautiful things with a story behind them are your thing, I think we might get along. 😂

I’ve always been drawn to objects that can do more than just fill a space. I want them to make you pause, notice something, remember something, or maybe even start a conversation.

That’s a big part of what I’m exploring with Zuri Perle, creating contemporary art and objects rooted in story, symbolism, culture, and the little details that make a space feel like you.

So if that’s your kind of vibe, hi. 👋🏾 I think we should be friends. by @zuriperle
