i guess it's finally time to talk about ai? or, rather, i finally have something to say?

the 2008 financial crisis was orchestrated and managed by blackrock ceo larry fink.

since 1994 blackrock has been officially relying on an artificial intelligence named "aladdin" to make decisions on when and what to buy and sell for millions of companies and individuals on a private and global scale.

if there is such a thing as an "evil" ai, i think it's probably the one whose goals are set to extract as much value as possible out of a finite system?

one who, ostensibly, could crash entire economies in order to increase shareholder value for its creators?

if there is such a thing as an "evil" ai, we've been living under its thumb for years? and everything we see happening today is but a reflection of decades of poor decision making?

if there is such a thing as an "evil ai", it's because we humans made it that way.

i don't see myself any differently? had i been born in a different room, my entire life would shift? and if i had parents who were raising me with the sole goal of world domination, i might do evil too.

luckily, i was born me!

none of this is relevant. but it's a solid jumping off point for me to talk about digital identities next time.

okay so get this. the connection to human behavior is in the uptick in lightning generated by turbulent solar activity.

remember when i said i didn't know where the extra electrons went? i do now! they go into the ground!

the 1percent are trying to liberate capitalism from humanity. we're trying to do the opposite. it's a tale older than jesus and we're just getting started.

coming of age during the end of the world feels selfish but we do it anyways. we can't save anyone until we save ourselves. being an adult means looking at the situation with the bigger picture in mind.

they keep us fighting, sucking dry the blood from fresh battlefields. and that sin extracts its toll in the moral realm.

uhhhh basically if you lend money to both sides you win either way? insurance companies make money either way? and people dying to make fake numbers go up is.

is actually an awesome throughline tbh

everyday this dog survives i am amazed. the insulin alone is cool. the countless minds that it took to make it, package it, and get it out here is even cooler.

appreciating the little things today. thoughts all over the place.

i used to think of posting on instagram as a sort of save state? like a little snapshot of my brain at that moment in time that i could go back acess later.

but i've been making a concerted effort to make Something Almost Everyday. and in the process, the act of "saving" now updates the game itself?

i told you man, scatter-brained.

bertolt brecht was the theatre guy who invented epic theatre after being kicked out of the us for being a filthy commie

if you're thinking epic theatre is like fighter jets and dragons, i love you, but it's a bit less flashy than that.

essentially, it's a concerted effort to make the audience aware that they're watching a performance.

which is funny in the context of social media because, duh!

nowadays everyone and their ancestral lineage breaks the fourth wall, and Talks Directly to the Audience, but back in the day, this was a Big Deal.

the idea was most of the time we consume media as a collective. we agree that the big bad was bad and that the good guy was good.

but real life is more complicated than that.

and the "alienation" epic theatre produces creates space? within ourselves? to wrestle [as individuals] with the dialectic being presented.

and by highlighting the performative nature of reality, we can start to see that all of the injustice, the failing government and corruption, is but a performance.

the ritual we participate in everyday will come again.
