The Tanzanian railways are so popular that people walk the tracks more often than the trains roll on them. While the rails are busy hosting pedestrians, vendors, and the occasional goat, the trains seem to be working remotely. At this point, the tracks have more foot traffic than timetable traffic. 🚶‍♂️🚆😄

The Anglican Church of Manyoni in Singida, a province of the global Anglican Communion that traces its roots in the country to missionary work in the 19th century and was formally established as an independent province of the Rift Valley in 1970. It was inaugurated in 1991.

At the foothills of The Usambara mountains is the Lushoto Catholic Parish, tracing its roots to early missionary work in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Founded by missionaries who focused on evangelization, education, and health, the parish grew as Catholic presence expanded in the region. It later became part of the Diocese of Tanga, with the Church of the Holy Eucharist serving as its central place of worship. Over time, religious congregations such as the Sisters of Our Lady of Usambara supported the parish through schools and social services.
