“The Dull-Ice Flower”
is a Taiwanese film released in 1989,
directed by Yang Li-Kuo and written by Wu Nien-Jen.
The movie is adapted from the novel of the same name
by Chung Chao-Cheng.

Set in the rural Taiwan of the early 1960s,
the film was primarily shot
around Mingde Reservoir in Touwu Township, Miaoli County,
and at Xishan Elementary School in the Shilin District of Taipei.

The title “The Dull-Ice Flower”
refers to the lupine flower (Lupinus),
a small yellow flower commonly planted among crops or tea fields.
After blooming,
the flower is plowed back into the soil to enrich it
symbolizing silent dedication and selfless contribution. In both the film and the novel,
it represents a gifted young artist who dies young
though his life was brief, his talent and spirit deeply moved and inspired others.

The term “Lupine” in Mandarin
is transliterated as Lu Bing Hua (魯冰花),
which coincidentally sounds similar to the Hakka and Taiwanese phrases for “roadside flower”
a metaphor for something that blooms quietly and beautifully, yet often goes unnoticed.

(The Dull-Ice Flower)

(Lupinus),

taken in Miaoli Taiwan by @030___030

These pieces explore circles trying to become human again. In this conceptual project by Paris-based designer Chris Lee, a speculative future unfolds where humanity has vanished and only colored circles remain, objects carrying the trapped thoughts of extinct humans. Moving across dimensions, these circles constantly reshape themselves in pursuit of becoming human once more. For a long time, none succeed, until one finally does: the blue circle. Through fashion, the project visualizes transformation, persistence, and identity in a post-human world.

333 taken in Musée de Préhistoire d'Ile-de-France by @030___030

Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe🇫🇷🇬🇧🇯🇵🇮🇪🇩🇪

The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe has been held in Paris since 1920. Born in the years following the First World War, it was created as a celebration of peace and quickly became one of the great traditions of French horse racing.

For more than a century, horses, jockeys, breeders, aristocrats and spectators have gathered in Paris to watch the same race unfold. The setting, the horses, the clothes and the rituals have changed with time, but something of that old world still remains.

Every year, on the first Sunday of October, Longchamp becomes a meeting place between French racing history and the present day.

La vie à Paris🧑‍🌾🍵🚴

Picking herbs in the garden to make tea,
playing ping-pong in the courtyard,
looking at figs of different sizes and colors on the trees,
lights glowing in the woods,
matcha and lychees,
the green water of the Seine.

Green also symbolizes nature, purity, and the nourishment of life.
This year, Paris is having a green summer.** 🌿 Les lumières du Chemin Vert🔮 by @030___030

Working with women from different backgrounds and with different personalities has been the greatest joy of my journey as a photographer.

It has become something far beyond photography.
It’s about the moments when we connect with the little girl inside each of us, and about the strength that clothing can give to women.

The journey from girlhood to womanhood,
or from being a woman back to embracing the girl within

These are the moments I witness and feel through my camera, as I observe every person who stands before my lens with @_stella.ab

grateful to my friends for making all of this possible everytime, from winter to summer,
Because of her,
I came to see womanhood in so many different forms
courageous, strong, and quietly resilient.

At the African Museum in Paris,
found a book about Taiwan’s Tsou Indigenous people that was photographed and written by a Japanese author.

Taiwan has always been an island where cultures meet.

Across different eras, people from diverse backgrounds arrived on this land. Some stayed, some left, some blended with one another,
and all left behind pieces of their stories.

History is more than the rise and fall of dynasties
it is a series of encounters, exchanges, and connections that have slowly shaped who we are today.

Sometimes I wonder if blood is more than a biological inheritance. Perhaps it also carries memories that transcend time.

We often believe we have nothing in common with one another, yet perhaps, long ago, our ancestors once crossed paths. The bloodlines that flowed between different peoples may still quietly run through our veins today, even though we can no longer tell which mountain, which river, or which chapter of history they came from.

And if we stretch our sense of time a little further, perhaps our encounters are not confined to this lifetime alone.

Maybe, in another life, we passed each other in the mountains, walked side by side along a river, or gazed across the same sea.

Those stories may have been softened by time, but they never truly disappeared. Instead, they became an invisible thread, gently drawing us together again, allowing us to meet once more in another corner of the world.

History and culture do not exist only in the pages of books, within the walls of museums, or in the records of a distant past. They also flow through our blood, live on in our memories, and continue with every encounter we share.

Perhaps none of our meetings are ever truly by chance
Perhaps
we have known each other for a very long time🌏
