Thursday Service lands at @crackbellmer for a night of house and neighbouring sounds.

For this first edition, Odysseus, DJ, producer and co-founder of Berlin’s @v.v.o.o.v.v collective, brings his selection spanning deep house, minimal and Detroit techno.

On duty for the rest of the night, our resident heroes Caldii b2b Dr. Sud, dOctOr doms, Luminick and Roots.

As summer slowly moves towards its final stretch, Electronic Gateways welcomes Odysseus to the studio — a DJ and producer whose musical journey has crossed borders, cities and countless dance floors.

Growing up in Athens and spending a decade immersed in London’s vibrant house and techno scene, Odysseus has been collecting records and shaping musical journeys since his teenage years. After co-founding and running two party series in London, he eventually settled in Berlin, he eventually settled in Berlin in 2016, where he continued to deepen his connection with the city’s endlessly diverse electronic scene. Today, he is the co-founder and resident DJ of VvoovV.

His sets move freely between deep house, minimal and Detroit techno, weaving together sounds from across the musical spectrum. Always attentive to context, atmosphere and the people in front of him, Odysseus is less interested in genre boundaries than in finding that delicate balance between subtlety, groove and energy.

This week, we’re looking forward to sharing an intimate journey through sound, shaped by years of digging, listening and following the music wherever it leads.

Presenting our Artists for the upcoming VvoovV:

BENJAMIN FREENEY @benjaminfreeney_foom_label
Benjamin is a Dublin-born Berlin-based DJ, Producer and A&R of the eclectic Foom label. His collaboration with Bruno Pronsato, "Ode To Street Hassle" came out on Perlon in 2021. His debut solo EP has just been released on his Foom label this summer. He is also a resident DJ for Refuge Worldwide and Mutant Radio Tbilisi radio stations and has also done shows for NTS.

CEZ @cez.music
Cez, originally from Toulouse and now based in Berlin, has carved out a distinct space in the electronic music scene with his deep, groovy, and hypnotic sound. With exceptional releases on imprints like High Ends and Discobar, his productions reflect a refined ear for texture and rhythm.

LAURA GARRIDO @delarosalau
Laura Garrido is a Berlin fixture since the early '90s, bringing her signature blend of trippy house and techno. She's made her presence felt at iconic venues like Golden Gate, About Blank, and Club der Visionaere, with unique sets offering a subtle contrast of textures and emotions. A local favourite, her sound reflects a deep connection to the underground and a career built on authenticity and groove.

LIN DA @landrostakos
Based in Bristol, Lin Da is a selector whose sets span the full spectrum of electronic music. Blending steady 4/4 rhythms with UK underground styles, he delivers cohesive sets across varying tempos and energies. This broad spectrum allows Lin Da to adapt to any room, whether warming up, playing extended sets or late-night peak-time slots.

We're excited to finally bring back our Deep Listening Sessions, this time at Ikii Berlin – an intimate listening space for sound and art, complete with a HiFi system and excellent wine and sake options.

For our second edition, we're bringing back the early-evening gatherings starting at 18:00 with a sound bath from Emre, using Tibetan singing bowls and ambient soundscapes to set the tone. Following that, we'll have DJ sets from Benjamin Freeney, alongside VvoovV residents Odysseus and DJ Treibsand. The doors will be closed from 18:30 to 19:30 to avoid disturbing the sound meditation, so please arrive before 18:30 if you'd like to participate.

On the VvoovV Deep Listening Sessions, the focus is not on dancing, but on listening. Our residents and guest artists prepare sets designed to immerse you in an inward journey through music and sound, nurturing your mind, body, and soul. While we focus on deep, experimental, and ambient soundscapes, we often take detours into jazz, folk, IDM, psychedelic rock, and everything in between. After last July's unforgettable VvoovV Birthday Open Air, we kick off our third season this September, back at our favourite secret spot ;) As our community grows and evolves, so does our visual identity, always faithful to the VvoovV spiral, pulling you deeper into the music!

For this edition, we're thrilled to welcome back Benjamin Freeney. A good friend of the collective and founder and A&R of the eclectic Foom label, he brings a selector's touch honed through years of digging deep.

Joining him is Cez, originally from Toulouse and now based in Berlin, with exceptional releases on High Ends and Discobar.

Lin Da visits us from the vibrant city of Bristol, blending low-slung minimal with UK styles, effortlessly moving between styles and genres depending on context.

He's joined by local favourite Laura Garrido. A Berlin fixture since the early '90s, she brings a signature blend of trippy house and techno. It's been over a week and we're still processing. That one was really special. The open air, the sun blessing that gorgeous backyard, all of you showing up with open hearts. It honestly couldn't have gone better. We've been riding that high ever since.

The feedback we've heard has been overwhelming in the best way. People telling us they felt at home, connected, safe, that they didn't want it to end. That's everything to us.

The artists delivered in a big way. Mila, danger soundsystem, and Berní brought that familiar warmth. JAJA's debut set was such a hypnotic journey and Odysseus took us right through the golden hour and wrapped it all up as the sun dipped down. Pure magic. Big thanks to Concealia Knows for her powerful performance and important message.

But the real thank-you goes to you. The ones who danced without holding back, who brought their friends, who trusted the vibe and added to it. Our community exists and grows because you pour into it too.

Two years of this. Two years of building something together that feels less like an event and more like a ritual. We're grateful, we're proud, and we're already counting down to the next one.

BERNIE @berniandoo
Based in Berlin, Bernie is a DJ from Mexico. His sets unfold like a quiet conversation, weaving complex, light textures into sound that is both deep and effortless. A true selector and hidden gem, his music exists to make you move and feel.

DANGER SOUNDSYSTEM @danger.soundsystem
Danger Soundsystem is the B2B project of seksperience and ИVA, a high-contrast union of two global selectors. If house is home, their dancefloor is a spaceship, moving through a mosaic where deep house meets garage and electro loves breaks. It is percussive, hypnotic, and stripped-down—music that cares for your feet, designed to make you move and feel.

JAJA @jaj_a
JAJA is simply a music lover. He focuses not on any specific genre, but rather on sonic textures, atmospheres, and intent. To him, a DJ set is a journey of surprising continuity, a stripped-back, rhythmic journey through frequencies and emotions. He is a dedicated producer, expect news in the near future.

MILA @enrico_mila
Mila has built a name with his authentic vinyl sets blending '90s house, deep house, minimal, deep techno, and tech house. His signature sound—sexy vocals, groovy basslines, and emotional peaks—defines his sets. He has appeared at Berlin's Club der Visionaere and Prague's Wildt, Fuchs2, and Grid, among others, where the immersive atmosphere he creates connects deeply with audiences, establishing him as a distinctive force in electronic music.

ODYSSEUS @0d_
Odysseus is the co-founder and resident DJ of VvoovV. He grew up in Athens, Greece, and later spent a decade in London, where his journey in music took a new turn, inspired by the local landscape. Settling in Berlin in 2016 was a long-awaited move, which allowed him to immerse himself in the local scene, further broaden and enrich his taste across genres, and deepen his devotion to record collecting, DJing, and producing.

2 YEARS OF VVOOVV

It's been already two years since VvoovV started, and it's been so beautiful to see this community grow. We are so grateful to everyone involved, all the artists, friends, collaborators, and of course our amazing crowd. Here's to many more years of dancing, listening, laughing, loving, connecting, VvoovVing TOGETHER.

We’re back this July for our summer edition, and VvoovV’s 2nd birthday with a very special open air day party!

For the special occasion, we wanted something that felt less like a lineup and more like a family portrait. So we called on the ones who've shaped this space with us.

Returning are the beloved Mila, Danger Soundsystem, and Berní, familiar voices that feel like home. Our ever-present anchor, Odysseus, holds it down as always, setting the tone. And stepping into this circle for the first time, though already part of the fabric, is local standout JA JA.

This is a celebration of the people who make this community what it is, the artists who give their sound, the crowd that shows up not just to listen, but to hold the music with us. Your energy, your openness, your beautiful, chaotic togetherness.

We're not holding these gatherings for you. We're holding them with you. This community is built by all of you, everyone who stays 'til the last note, who brings a friend, who closes their eyes and feels it, who feels safe to be themselves. That's what VvoovV is all about.
