📝 A wheelchair is usually built to be forgotten, a piece of machinery designed to disappear so that the person in it can be seen instead, but here it refuses to disappear at all, it grows into something closer to a shell, a cocoon, a small private world on wheels. Surrealism feels like the only honest way to show what it actually means to grow old and dependent, because nothing about that experience is as plain or as practical as the objects we build for it; there is grief in losing your own legs to a machine, but there is also, quietly, something close to wonder in being carried rather than walking, in finally being allowed to simply look at the sky instead of having to get somewhere. I wanted this object to feel less like a sentence and more like a vessel, heavy with rust and use, but still capable of holding someone gently above a world that has gone grey and quiet around them. Surrealism, to me, is simply permission to show dignity where everyone else only sees decline.

📝 I wanted to make visible something I have never been able to say out loud: that I am not one age at a time, that every version of myself I have ever been is still here, folded quietly into the one I am now. I did not want to show memory as something we look back on, separate from us, kept at a safe distance. I wanted to show it as something we are still made of, still carrying, the way a body carries its own beginning long after it has stopped looking like one.
There is no grief in this for me, and no longing to go back; I am not mourning who I used to be, I am simply admitting that he never really left. When I curled this shape in on itself, I was trying to picture what it might feel like if growing older were not a departure but a kind of embrace, if the child and the adult were never in competition for the same space but were always quietly holding each other from the inside.

I hope that whoever encounters this work feels, even briefly, that strange tenderness: the sense that we are never as far from our own beginning as time convinces us we are.

🎨 Title: Blood Economy

📝 She wears a crown of cables because every system needs a way to feed itself.

What flows through her isn’t just blood. It’s everything quietly taken over a lifetime: unpaid hours, stagnant wages, rising debt, missed opportunities, and the growing gap between what people create and what they get to keep. The more she takes, the stronger she becomes.

Somewhere above, the machine keeps running. It never asks who’s exhausted or who’s falling behind. It only measures growth.

And still, between rusted steel and cracked machinery, something keeps growing. Not because the system allowed it, but because life has a habit of surviving where it was never meant to.

Selected from this quarter's Official Selection, this collaborative work has been recognized with the Tag Team Excellence Award.

The project impressed the AIMA jury with its creativity, execution, originality, artistic vision, and the strength of the collaboration between both creators.

As Tag Team Excellence Award recipients, both artists receive the official Excellence Award Coin, recognizing one of the most outstanding collaborative AI artworks of the quarter.

📝 This work is about the tug-of-war between who the world wants us to be and who we actually are. The "Gilded" part represents the beautiful, complex shells we build around ourselves—tradition, fashion, and social expectations. The "Rebel" is that raw, animal instinct that lives just beneath the surface, waiting for a moment to break through.
I wanted to capture that specific tension where elegance meets defiance. It’s a reminder that even when we are draped in the most intricate armor, our true nature is never fully tamed. It's a study of duality: the sacred and the primal existing in the same person at the same time.
