Cesar Allen Peare died in my arms while eating ice cream last night, July 3rd, 2025, at approximately 8:50pm. I don’t really have words right now, except that I love him more than anything in the world, and even if it was the right thing to do, it was still easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I would’ve taken care of him for the rest of my life, but at some point I would’ve been just doing it for myself. I was blessed to be able to take time off and spend his last few days with him at his Grammy’s house; he loved it there. No matter how much I tried to prepare myself, nothing prepared me for how it felt to stop feeling his heart beating against mine…and when I woke up this morning without him, I had never felt so empty.

Beautiful, massive theater that was built in 1922. It briefly showed adult films in the 1970s before closing its doors permanently in 1975, sitting vacant ever since. I wish I had snagged better pictures of this place but whatever, I was just happy to be there. @nycscribs

Hotel in between two theaters with 109 rooms on 5 floors featuring pedestal sinks, tubs, and a sick children’s room. Rooms cost $1.50 at one time, 2 people were murdered in the 2nd floor lobby, and gangster, Dutch Schultz, who bootlegged alcohol during prohibition in this city, is said to have also done other “work” out of this hotel. @nycscribs
