In a salon setting commission is supposed to have you setup as an employee with 401k, ins, paid sick leave etc

Here i discuss a defining moment on the path to such a natural, getting an opportunity taken away that was never a serious offer and dealing with reneging black women/business owners who would rather keep you ignorant so they can make the most from your labor.

Although frustrating at the time going through this motivated me to change my situation and create the things I wanted for myself because that was the only way it was going to happen.

However with the internet of today many of the would be woes can be mitigated and that’s what I’m here to assist with. Now I own a mobile business and don’t pay anyone to make money.

What is a mobile salon?!

Perhaps due to my own bias I tend to assert that people should know from the title itself/context. I also try to be considerate and not assume selective obliviousness when educating on the topic, but honestly, it’s an effort 😅

Regardless, I’m stepping into the arena of education and completely away from styling hair. Launching a mobile business was done with the intent of positioning myself by way of physical evidence/a model of what can be achieved with sacrifice and investment.
