The day I decided to pivot into alterations completely changed my life!

Since then, I’ve spent the last couple years learning, failing, fixing, and falling completely in love with the craft. To the point I opened a store front at 25!

Everytime I post about my career I’m asked

“How did you get into this?”
“Did you go to school?”
“How do I get a job doing what you do?”

So… I’m finally making the tell all. the resource I wish I had when I first became curious too.

I’m putting together a complete guide that takes you from “I’ve barely touched a sewing machine” all the way to having the skills and confidence to walk into an alterations shop and land your first job.

Whether your dream is to become a tailor, start a side hustle, or simply learn how to repair your own clothes, I want to show you exactly how I got here! The path I would take if I had to start over today.

I’m announcing it now to keep myself accountable😂. And to get you all excited too!

Sooo the lining… one of the OG fabrics I thrifted in my college town in 2018. I made a lot of my first pieces as 111threads using that fabric and today I pulled out what was left of it…

Since it’s been with me from the start it felt really scary to use the last of it. Because im sentimental mess and .. hoarder lol .. But what better way than to use it on a special project that I will use everyday, look at everyday, and gets to travel with me!!

I love sewing so much. I love how it allows me to make pieces that express who I am and highlight timelines of my life.
