Healing is weird and also hurts.
Sometimes it’s going to the gym and lifting more than you ever imagined. Sometimes it’s spending your weekends running races and you get faster everytime you run. Maybe it’s staying home and writing so much poetry that you think about writing a book. Sometimes it’s crying so much that you don’t even recognize yourself. Maybe it’s praying so long that you fall asleep mid prayer. Maybe it could be going to church every Sunday and reading the Bible that was gifted to you. Sometimes it’s going to see a therapist. Maybe it’s being surrounded by friends and family who make you feel safe to cry when they hug you.

There’s no correct way to heal but Lord knows I’m trying. I’m trying so hard…

This poem is titled “Rosetta Stone”

The eleventh and last installment of a poetry series I made less than two years ago. This poem was written with multiple people in mind but made for the lovers.

Shout out to the genius Stevie Wonder @steviewonderoficial for the beautiful song “As”
I sung this in beginning of the video. I hope yall enjoy.

Today I ran two 5Ks. Before you ask let me answer…no I don’t know why I ran two 5Ks lol

But I will be running more 5Ks. I had some great conversations and it inspired me to come out more.

Shout out to YMCA and VyStar to hosting two amazing events. Big shout out to @konflikt_2nupe and @runners.elite without yall trust me my running days would have been done in high school.

If yall want to get into running or thinking about it follow @runners.elite
You won’t regret it!

Sometimes in life we pour into people that are already full and the people we pour into don’t tell us they are full, they just allow us to become empty.

Special Shoutout to @whatsina_verse
The love I have for yall could never be repaid.
