POSTS STORIES REELS

Yesterday afternoon I learned from my doctor that I will no longer physically be able to pitch again due to a full labrum tear in my left shoulder, I am not completely done with baseball but it hurts my heart and I am still wrapping my head around that its over, but I can’t stray away from the fact that I absolutely loved being a pitcher and that it shaped me to be a better person/ballplayer due to the mental and physical challenges it takes being one since I first started on the mound 8 years ago.

It was a rough go during the start of my freshman year in college where I got into a car accident injuring my spine after a dream come true high-school season where I achieved my young dream earning 1st Team All-State honors along with capturing my school’s single season strikeout record with 86K’s in 42IP my senior year, and 1.80 era record my junior year which motivated me to physically and mentally push through the injury to continue my post high-school dream to play college ball, so I ended up at ASU to build myself back up later finding the opportunity to play with some amazing people @asuclubbaseball and I realized I found my final home for pitching.

Although my pitching tenure only lasted 2 seasons with the team I would like to thank each and everyone of you being there for me during that rough time, as-well as all my past coaches and teammates who I have amazing memories with.

To Dad, Mom, Elijah, Noah, Caydence, family, and friends who cheered me on to succeed through the tough challenges I have faced through my pitching career, I could not of done any of this without you and your support so I truly say from the bottom of my heart thank you and I love every single one of you.

I can now peacefully rest my hurting arm and back golfing with the boys.

Thank you pitching ⚾️ - Zay by @12_isaiahlopez

9 years ago I picked up a bat and glove for the first time, since then I have been addicted to the game of baseball, it drug me through the dirt a-lot, but at the same time it lifted me to new heights of success because thats the game I knew and loved. I will forever be grateful that god gave me the chance to be with so many amazing, talented, and selfless teammates that molded me to be the player Ive always wanted and strived to be. To my coaches, you are the reason I love the game and stuck with it, you all showed me that failure is okay, that failure is life, and that how you handle failure will determine the road you pave in the future. For now I have a possibility to continue this journey, but it wouldn’t be right take take some time to appreciate the ones who made my high school career unforgettable, you are the reason I had I smile on my face for 9+ years, and for that you are all my baseball family for life, Thank you. by @12_isaiahlopez
