NOVEMBER 6th!
PYREX - New York
This is bad music for bad people in the best way possible. Absolutely recommended.
Creeping elements of post-punk claw through the wreckage, but it’s all too snotty and punk-forward to fit too neatly into that box. Noisy, effects-laden instruments are in service of the overall sound, propping it up rather than masking deficiencies. Energetic one-two beats burst out of motorik grooves, and riffs twist in unusual ways

URIN - Berlin
From Berlin, but with members from all over the place (just like Berlin itself, right?)
Their sound is unique and they were able to find their space sonically, as they sound unlike any other bands that come to mind. Maybe the best way to describe it is a modern version of GAI, but it still is not enough to get the whole picture, so just go crazy.

GIMIC - Bristol
I have no other way to describe this other than post-post-punk. It’s like if you took BOW WOW WOW and threw them into a vat of toxic waste. Dance-y enough to groove to, while simultaneously being manic enough to have a complete and total meltdown in the pit. Guitar and bass are clean with a little bit of distorted twang. Very natural and classic.

TRAUMATIZER - Haarlem
Local heroes! Excellent riffs, excellent drumming, and excellent vocals, what more could you ask for? For fans of ANTI-CIMEX, SACRILEGE, and MOTÖRHEAD, this one’s a no-brainer.

Come to OCCII for this total banger.

PSST! HEY KID! YA WANT SOME NOISE ROCK???? COME TO OCCII,,,, IT'LL BE LOUD!!!!!!!!

Youff is a Belgian noise rock band with members of 30,000 Monkies, Crowd Of Chairs and Mesher. Known for their energetic live sets and raw, unnerving sound, they keep on attacking the senses, one release at the time. The band started out as a duo in 2014. Over the years they kept shapeshifting, exploring the sonic possibilities of different collaborations and different lineups. For now, the five-headed formation is ready to discover new boundaries. With ‘’Heydays’ (27/10/2023) being their first feat.

Bottled Violence is a five-piece noise-punk band formed at Rock City Institute in Eindhoven that has been playing together for more than a year now. Live, they transform into a vast blur of harsh feedback, fuzz, screaming vocals, and loud drums. Their lyrics reveal that they hold clear opinions on society, covering topics such as monarchy, capitalism, and human rights.

Family Guy funny moments compilation #258: Peter Grifting (members of Mxchxxl and BeaBop); a duo dead set on absolute moments will tell you all about it in a one-off performance.

And returning on the decks is none other than DJ STEVE ;)

Huge thanks to our very own @danieldeschiffart for the sick ass poster!!

FFO: cutaway gags, reptiles on amphetamines running record labels, Arab On Radar, NOISENOISENOISE

6 MORE DAYS TILL DJALAN-DJALAN PLAYS OCCII!!!!

In djalan-djalan, Winnie (guitarist for The Klittens and former guitarist for Personal Trainer, among others) combines her love for DIY culture with musical elements from both her Indonesian and Dutch cultural backgrounds. The vision lies in connecting different worlds: how do you bring DIY culture, the electronic music scene and jazz influences together? The result is a diverse buffet of leftfield pop music, ranging from calm to hectic, filled with noise, driving rhythms and wind instruments. Over the past year, djalan-djalan has developed from a solo experiment into a four-piece band. By collaborating with unique voices from the Amsterdam jazz and improvisation world, the boundaries of pop music are constantly being pushed.

FFO: Deerhoof, being consumed by the noise, crying over sunsets

OHKAY.KAYOH AURKAJ.KAJAURRRR ‼️‼️
NEXT SATURDAY OK.KO WILL BE PLAYING AT OCCII JUST FOR U‼️‼️

OK.KO.’s sound draws from a wide array of influences, merging the melancholy of shoegaze, the aggression of punk and grunge, the rhythm of post-punk, and the experimental edge of indie rock and hip-hop. This eclectic fusion results in a bold, unique sound that challenges genre boundaries while maintaining an accessible core.
