My dad was, in fact, the best father a child could ask for—a man of God. I don’t say this only because I’m his daughter; everyone who knew him would agree. He knew the value of being a father and was a role model to his children.

He did have flaws (as all humans do), but those flaws were the reason I realized that we, as humans, can’t be perfect. Yet he’s the one who made me believe in men. And I was wrong—there are many irresponsible, good-for-nothing men out there (thank God You gave me the best one).

There is a huge difference between a father and a dad. Anyone can share DNA, but it takes a lifetime of love, effort, and selfless sacrifice to become a dad. You chose us every day, and that’s what mattered most. Matter of fact, you were never just a father—you were my dad.

(It hurts so badly that I now have to use the past tense when I talk about you.) by @13.19.049

My prayer is that wherever life takes you, God will always go before you, keep His hand upon you and give you a heart that knows him. May you grow with kindness, courage and a gentle spirit, never forgetting how deeply you are loved😽🫶🏾 by @13.19.049
