Occasionally, you'll get that ukulele that just resonates with you. Playing on this new build by Hamakua Musical Instruments @1379hmi this past week has been incredibly satisfying. The tone is amazing, the sensation when you feel the entire body vibrating, all I can say is wow. 🤙🌺🎶💕🖖

This talented young man walked Ito our booth at the @laukulelefestival looking for “forward thinking” instruments.
He was intrigued by the display of “experimental” instruments on our wall display, like a steel string Super Baritone Long Neck, and the Baritone all Octive 8-string. His reaction to those were interesting as he saw the potential in using a personal Luthier to perfect an instrument all his own! That’s what luthiers live for! At least this luthier.

Sometimes it’s @craigchee and when players of this caliber like what you’ve built, 🥲! I’m thrilled for the positive feedback and true feeling of awe he delivers in just the joy of playing the instrument we love! The humble, but mighty ukulele. It will give your soul rest, your heart will flutter, it can heal your heart, and set your mind at ease.

I started my day with Jeff. He was, and still is, a big influence for me and my ukulele ohana!

LA Internatiomal Ukulele Festival 2026. First time as Ambassador to Hāmākua Musical Instruments with Ross Yamamoto and being joined with 2 fellow Ambassadors!!!
