WHEN IT TOLLS 🔔
The countdown is officially on! When It Tolls premieres at @uffo.cz in just over a week.

We are so excited- this new work has been a labour of love while we’ve been teaching here in Trutnov and we can’t wait to finally share it with you.

To celebrate 8 days to go, here is the blurb to get you in the mood!

En: Follow us deep down below, into a world of odds and ends, where two acrobats throw themselves into the air, balance on each other, and suspend from the ceiling. Perhaps an old clothesline can be walked on, or you can swing from a buoy. Immerse yourself in a world of lost things, where strange creatures exist - monsters constructed of paper and forgotten items. Here secrets linger, and danger lurks. Come, and we will take you on an adventure of a lifetime. But when the bell tolls, be sure you don’t get lost.

When It Tolls is created by local Australian Acrobats Aleshanee Kelso and Tomas Correia, who studied at the National Institute of Circus Arts in Australia, and who currently are living and working in Trutnov at the Czirkids Circus School.

Dva akrobaté se vrhají do vzduchu, balancují jeden na druhém a visí ze stropu. Stará prádelní šňůra se může proměnit v provazochodecké lano, bójka ve vzdušnou houpačku. Vstupte do říše ztracených věcí, kde se potulují podivná stvoření – příšery stvořené z papíru, prachu a odložených pokladů. Tady tajemství šeptají ze stínů a nebezpečí číhá na každém kroku. Pojďte s námi a zažijete dobrodružství, na které nezapomenete. Ale až začne odbíjet zvon, pozor, neztraťte se!

When It Tolls (Až odbije) je autorským představením australských akrobatů Aleshanee Kelso a Tomase Correia, kteří studovali na Národním institutu cirkusových umění v Austrálii (National Institute of Circus Arts) a v současnosti žijí a působí v Trutnově, kde vyučují v cirkusové škole CZirkidz.

📣 Introducing Circus Centre Melbourne’s Companies in Residence 🤩 We are proud to announce One Fell Swoop Circus, 13 EGGS, and Darling and Daring as our new Companies in Residence.

Launched this year, the Company in Residence program marks an expansion of how CCM supports independent artists, moving beyond providing access to space towards deeper, ongoing partnership. Built on a Community of Practice model, the program embeds resident companies at CCM as active contributors, collaborators and leaders within a shared learning environment, offering access to studio space, workplace infrastructure, sector connections and platforms for visibility, in exchange for genuine participation in the life of the Centre.

The three companies were selected through an open expression of interest process, and will take up a 12-month residency at our Collingwood home, where they will train, create and connect with the wider CCM community through open training, showings, skill shares, shared studio time and more over the course of the residency.

Spanning emerging, mid-career and established practice, the selected companies reflect CCM’s commitment to supporting artists at every stage of their career.

Please join us in congratulating these incredible companies, we can’t wait to get started! 🎉

Such an incredible experience to be apart of this concert, with these girls 💜
Trutnov, you have captured our hearts forever.

The biggest thank you to @uffo.cz and all the amazing technicians, @karel.havlicek, @trtini_music and all the wonderful musicians who brought the piece to life, @uffon for the support to make it happen and of course @katika_talavaskova (we LOVE you!) for her inspiring vision and choreography.

Two weeks left in this little city that has really become home 🙌🏻✨

✨ New props for When It Tolls ✨

Today was the first test run of our prototype, it was so exciting to see our idea come to life and actually work (we were so nervous lol). Can’t wait to finish off the outer layer but no spoilers to what it is yet. Any guesses?
