The past two days we have practised different methods for cravasse rescue as a team.This one was realistic fall and interesting to solve as a team.This video shows what kind of rescue scenarios we practise as a team on our free time. We discuss hazards, do back ups and reflect after to make learnings safe. Před pěti lety jsem v tento den stál na vrcholu Gasherbrum II (8034m).Byl to jeden z těch okamžiků, které v člověku zůstanou navždy. Ne kvůli samotnému vrcholu, ale hlavně kvůli cestě k němu a pocitech z míst, kde nic není samozřejmé.Dnes se k té vzpomínce bohužel přidává i smutek. Poslední dny přinesly tragické zprávy z Alp i Karákóramu. Odešli lidé, kteří horám rozuměli, žili jimi a patřili k nim. Myslíme na jejich rodiny, blízké i celou horskou komunitu.Tyto události znovu otevírají téma, které si stále možná nechceme připouštět dost nahlas: hory se mění rychleji, než jsme byli zvyklí. Zimy nejsou tak dlouhé a vydatné, léta jsou extrémně teplá a terén, který byl ještě před pár lety v určitém období relativně stabilní, dnes stabilní není. Kámen, led, sníh i permafrost reagují bez ohledu na naše plány, zkušenosti nebo ambice.Co s tím? Je evidentní, že bude nezbytné přenastavit sezóny výstupů a expedic pro jednotlivé horské oblasti světa. Nevyhnutelně bude postupně vznikat mapa míst a zákazů pro určitá období a tímto směrem bude i nadále posilovat veřejnoprávní regulace. Někde budou omezení natolik dávat smysl, že budou širokou veřejností i horolezeckou komunitou akceptována, jinde zcela jistě tvrdě narazí na samotnou podstatu horolezectví a rozvíří diskuzi nad svobodu pohybu v horách.Ať už bude tempo nových trendů jakékoli, naším přáním zůstává, aby horolezectví zůstalo krásným a svobodným dobrodružstvím. Svobodným ne ve smyslu akceptování extrémního objektivního rizika, ale ve smyslu odpovědnosti. K sobě, k ostatním i k horám samotným.#dismanteam #mountains #climbing #newera by @14mount8000

Another tragedy in the Karakoram. 🏔️Czech climber Mr. Jaroslav Bánský has reportedly lost his life during the ascent of Masherbrum (K1, 7,821 m).Masherbrum is one of the Karakoram's most challenging and rarely climbed peaks. Nearly five decades after the last successful expedition on this mountain, a new team returned to attempt its formidable slopes. Sadly, the mountain has once again reminded us of the immense risks that come with high-altitude climbing.Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Bánský's family, friends, teammates, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.Rest in Peace. #masherbrum#worldofmountains #karakoram by @14mount8000
