Around here, we’re all about lightweight, tension-free, scalp-friendly braids that actually move. A protective style is supposed to protect your hair…not have you popping Tylenol, pulling at your edges, or feeling like your scalp is on fire.

I customize every install to your hair density because every head is different. You don’t need a whole beauty supply store in your hair to get a full, luxury look. Technique matters.

For this install I used:
✨ 2 bundles of body wave human hair
✨ 1 pack of braiding hair

Style: 4 week boho touch up. Boho braids are THAT girl… but nobody talks about the maintenance 👀✨

Yes, they’re soft, curly, effortless-looking… but let’s be real: they require intention to stay looking fresh.

Here’s what it really takes to maintain boho braids:

💧 Moisture is everything – Those loose curls get dry fast. Use a light leave-in or braid spray 2–3 times a week. Don’t skip this.

🌀 Refresh the curls – Finger-coil or use conditioner + water to bring the curls back to life. A little goes a long way.

🛏️ Protect at night – Satin bonnet or scarf is non-negotiable. Loose curls + cotton pillowcases = frizz city.

🧴 Oil your scalp – Keep your scalp clean and nourished. A lightweight oil keeps itching and buildup away.

✂️ Trim when needed – Snip overly frizzy ends to keep the style looking polished longer.

🚿 Be gentle when washing – Focus on your scalp, not the curls. Let the suds run down instead of roughing up the hair.

Boho braids are low manipulation… not low maintenance.
