What an amazing trip(s) this has been.

About 7 months ago I felt I had wasted my gap year from schooling since I spent most of it working and I felt I wanted to get out there and do something. So I had a think about what I felt I missed out on through COVID and that was most definitely my bike riding. It used to be the one thing that kept me going. Through the stresses of school and being locked down I abandoned the bikes in favour of other simpler things and that really left a bit of a hole. I ended up buying a new trail bike around that time and that inspired me to complete one of my bucket list dreams from years back which was to ride at a bike park since there are none local to me I had to travel.
Whistler an obvious choice was just too much at the time so I did a bunch of searching and settled on a place called Maydena when I started thinking this through I originally thought I would go for a week. I figured that just wouldn't be long enough to really try it so I decided on 3 weeks. When I went to book the boat trips I found that the cheapest two way tickets where 6 weeks apart. So I went and just booked it thinking I would end up stuck in a state with nothing to do. When I got here I was totally blown away by the nature, the riding and the community. By the end of the 6 weeks I didn't want to go home. I ended up somehow landing a job here and jumped straight back on the boat for another 6 weeks to end off the season. I truly believe this was the best decision ever. I have had so much fun and have learnt so much about riding, solo travel and even different work environments and careers I could see myself in. I met so many awesome inspirational people who live their lives totally differently from how us city folk do and it really makes you wonder if your actually built for the city. When all your time revolves around nature, your work, hobbies and friends then life starts to slow down in such a nice way and anxiety just disappears. In short after all that crap I just wrote. Thanks Maydena for having me. See you next season. taken in Maydena by @162angus

Fun riff from the latest Omnific album. I set myself the challenge this year to learn riffs properly as I found through the last year and a bit I have been rushing the learning process and I often skip over important details which often leads to a pretty poor performance. So I am really focusing on what I love about music which is learning the intricate details and playing them properly. This is going to start with other peoples riffs but it will slowly move into learning my own stuff properly as I want to improve my own works as well. I guess this is a good way to hold myself accountable by posting it and hearing people's opinions on it haha.

Very longwinded of my but enjoy the little riff played really well haha by @162angus

Well done @762_media on your second ever run as a guard on puffing billy. I am not a photographer but chasing trains is actually really fun.

Low Life bass cover. This is such a fun song to play along to, even if I didn't really contribute much I still got to play around with my new Darkglass alpha omega pedal and create some awesome tones. please enjoy.
