A Wild Porygon appears!!...and it's made of glass!
We've been experimenting with 3D glass and thought the obvious thing to do was make a huge Porygon lamp.
Bert wasn't happy with another animal on the scene so demanded to have a Pokémon battle. There was no victor.
Just a dog impressed by some stained glass.

So 10 minutes of gameplay was all we needed to start feeling excited about more Zelda. Having floating islands suddenly feels a lot more Wind Waker than expected and Christian's getting a little giddy about it now.
Without a doubt more Zelda glass will be coming soon.

Christian here,
This was a particularly special make,
I’ve very recently become an uncle for the first time to an adorable tiny thing called Isabelle! I wanted to give her a welcome-to-Earth gift that felt worthwhile, so this is what I came up with. Our surname, Harrop, translates to Hare-on-the-Hill in Old English so I wanted to do a baby hare for the baby Harrop, surrounded by November foliage and her initials. Glass painting is still a skill I’m honing down so there were things that did and didn’t work, but I think that makes it all the better as one of my first ambitious glass pieces being a keepsake for my niece. Given that stained glass inherently involves lead as well, I made sure to fix it into a wooden frame and use as few glass pieces as necessary for the piece, I’ve also fixed LEDs to the back of the frame so that it could hang on a wall as well, nicely out of reach. A lot of fun tests went on here!
I haven’t even met her yet thanks to long distance, being busy and painfully catching covid last week when I was supposed to visit, but I’ve showed this to my brother and sister-in-law now so it’s fine for me to show it off on here! Seeing the three of them is just a fantastic bonus I’ll get this Christmas now.
Anyway I’m very proud of this and hope that one day Isabelle appreciates it too! Thanks for reading my soppy post.
If you have new and exciting ideas that you'd like us to turn into glass, message us about a commission! We'll be available in the new year to make big stained glass dreams happen.

Lemons in glass - a clear and obvious anniversary gift.
Long time silent. As always, Matt and I are extremely busy doing other things but never want to stop making glass! Scrabbling for time is the best we can do right now though.
This was meant as central crest adornment for a large double glazed window. I love the way that it peaks between the curtains in this scorching heat!
Still open to commissions, best get Christmas ones in now though!
Much love to all that have kept supporting us,
C

The 16bit baby turned 1 this weekend!
To commemorate their first year Christian made an homage to his adorable obsession with the box art of Flamecraft.
Incredible work @art_of_sandara , you've absolutely enchanted this little one.
No leading so that eventually this can be part of a larger piece...with hopefully many more unique pieces!

Let's be honest, they might not be the smart choice but theyre the right choice... and theyre a little dinosaur with a flower ready to bloom on their back.

A tribute to a historical celebrity of Norwich and famous cat friend, Julian of Norwich.
Huge thanks for Louie for asking us to do this one, a lot of fun making a Julian to surround her little cat from @norwich_cathedral !

Sometimes the perfect job comes along, and it's Kermit as David Byrne...
Thank you so much Molly for commissioning us on this one.
A full muppets version of Stop Making Sense doesn't look like it's in the cards but stained glass has often given us glimpses of the divine.

Sporadic posting as always, a few things still to post about that we missed!
This was a little project just for Christian as he's all consumed with studying and fatherhood, but just cant stop obsessing over final fantasy... with absolutely no time to devote to replaying those games.
So this was a redo of a piece he wanted to make before painting was a possibility, done as he actually imagined it.
Valefor was absolutely the most memorable aeon and a favourite for sure. Also dragons will forever be a theme...

A snapshot of some of my best bits from mid-2024 until today.
It's been an incredibly busy time with having a baby and retraining as a health care professional.
But i will always be excited about making new pieces.
I can't wait to make more.

The end of 2023 up to the spring of 2024.
Full swing of painting and making little windows for our home and others. We'd had the dog for a year, were now married after 12 years. 2024 had a lot less pressure than 2023, and it was a bit of respite before 2025...
