I’ve been looking forward to the responsibility of wielding a system this big, and am so thankful it finally happened. Recalling some of my favorite nights hearing artists mixing on powerful sound systems, I was always struck by the extent to which “less is more.” A track that you might have accidentally taken for granted in your earbuds can instead engulf you and give you that revitalizing kick to the chest you didn’t know you needed.

🙏🏼 @bossanovacivicclub was on the short list when this all started. So grateful for the opportunity and also all the friends who came to wiggle with me for my debut. And if you missed it, it’s recorded :)

Moments you’ve been working toward usually don’t happen as you imagine, but sometimes, they end up even better.

Still can’t believe this happened.
@gelber_idontevenknowher and I aligned
in a way I never imagined—
sharing the same stage.
She danced. I DJed.
Never thought I’d be performing art
with the love of my life.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
🙏 Huge thanks to:
🎭 @mgreenbeee – for the choreography
🏛️ @cdi_dance – for the site-specific space
🎨 @ccnyartscenter – for the support
📸 @wsnidvongs – for the photos
💡 profbryanstanton – for tech wizardry
