First love, First car 😍 I bought this 240sx back in 2000 and these photos were taken that summer.

This was at a church parking lot very close to my parent’s house. The same parking lot I learned to drive manual shift. And also the same parking lot that I learned how to do donuts and burnouts 💨 😂

These phots were taken with my old Panasonic 35 mm film camera. No smartphones back then and proper digital cameras were insanely expensive..

The car was in decent shape at the time. Just about 10 years old with around 183,000 km on it. There was some obvious rust under the foam spoiler, as you can see in the last picture. I used red electrical tape that somehow matched the 526 colour code to cover it up.

The first “mod” I got were those red MOMO seatbelt pads for added horsepower 😂

After a long 2 years and 5 months, my dream 180sx is finally here 🙌🏾

A huge thank you to Fawaz at Eclection Auto here in Toronto and Akinobu at Space Auto in Japan for saving the day and cleaning up a massive mess!

The S13 chassis has a special place in my heart. The 240sx was my very first car back when I was 16 and just got my G2 driver’s license.

I saved up half of the $3,800 needed to buy the car back then. My dad helped with the rest.

I always loved the pop-up headlights. The RWD S-Chassis was the perfect car I could afford. I ended up building mine to a similar spec as this one, but always wanted an authentic JDM version.

24 years later I am now a proud owner of a 1997 Nissan 180sx Type X with only 33,000 original km’s. Happy to relive this memory with my old man again.
