HONC - @hellofthenorthcotswolds, it certainly lives up to its name! Probably the most punchy 100km I’ve done! Mostly fine on a Gravel Bike, but there were definitely a few moments where an XC bike would have been nice!

Absolute party vibes at the first feed station along with pancakes 👌🏼

The parcours

Riding the 9 stages of @letourfemmes from Lac Leman and Lausanne to the Mediterranean and Nice one day ahead of the pros: through wine yards, pine forest, massive climbs, blistering heat, horseflies, rolling karaoke and ice-lollies.

~ 1,188km ridden
~ 17,500m climbed

Can’t pick a favourite, but I’d happily ride every stage again. Being able to finish the event by watching the pros for their final stage and soak up the atmosphere in Nice was an extra plus.

The riders

These amazing 19 ladies had already put in a huge effort into fundraising and training, on top of their busy work and life-schedules, before the ride even began.
The camaraderie in the group was a joy to see: from the daily cries (me included) during the Dedication of the day, to the way they supported each other through each stage.

The ride captains
So lucky to have been part of this team. Thank you @lalalandlara11 and @holly_seear and special shoutout to @juliette__clark and her spreadsheets for keeping gpx and timings updated despite last minute weather and French admin changes.

The organisers
@jenniehoyex and Ciara from Cure Leukaemia and @fairley.jane and @loltoombs from Leadout: from planning the entire event to the daily logistics every single day - including ice-stockings, cowbells, chicken suits and post-ride beers

The crew

The roadsupport team led by @its_juliec, with Peggy and Lola in the leadcar and the motos who simultaneously headbutted vans in roundabouts, kept trucks off our backs and still managed to cheer us on at every turn.

Our lovely catering team, Sue, Carol and Mandy who somehow managed to serve delicious lunches from a van 🤯

Our mechanic @bikeshopbob2 , medic @mamsportstherapy and sport therapists @beccapostance.sportsmassage and @rylance.sophie4 making sure all riders and bikes were fit to ride every day.
