🍓🍊 This is what the Night Market is all about.
S/O to Corn & Tamika Thomas of @harvestfreshproduce for consistently bringing fresh, affordable produce to the Eatonville community through @1887nightmarket. 🙌🏾🌽

When they first started with us, Harvest Fresh Produce was part-time. Just one year later, Tamika & Corn both made the leap from corporate to work alongside each other full-time, providing fresh produce to communities throughout Central Florida.

That’s bigger than a vendor booth. A family building a business. Creating opportunity through entrepreneurship.
Which allows dollars to circulate in our community which leads to economic impact. 💪🏾

And if you’ve shopped with them, you already know: some of the best prices and SWEETEST fruit around! 🍉🍍🍇
We’re proud that @1887nightmarket could be part of their journey.

Come shop Harvest Fresh Produce at the next 1887 Night Market or weekly on Apopka Vineland & McCormick and support a family-owned business feeding our community. 🧡 taken in 1887 Night Market by @1887firstweekend

The 1887 Night Market was never meant to be just another event. It was intentionally built for Eatonville’s growth and future.

Our purpose was to create pathways for Black businesses, bring people into Historic Eatonville, create jobs, circulate dollars locally, and show what happens when culture, community, and commerce move together.

After two years, the impact is becoming clear. These are conservative estimates based on our data and surveys:

📍 19 markets hosted in Eatonville
🖤 200+ Black businesses participated
🎨 500+ children participated in arts and agriculture activities
📲 3M+ social media views
👥 15K+ estimated visitors brought to Eatonville
💵 $21K+ paid to local service-based businesses
🏛️ $4.1K paid to the Town of Eatonville
💼 10 people employed
📈 850+ vendor applications received

We’ve watched a produce vendor grow from part-time to full-time and another vendor expand into a brick-and-mortar location.

Thank you to every business, service provider, sponsor, DJ, volunteer, paid worker, and community member who has helped build this from the beginning. Being independent has not always been easy, but the impact is undeniable. Together, we have created a recognized platform for hundreds of local business owners.

And we’re only getting started.

Join us for BEYOND THE MARKET: The Economic Impact of the 1887 Night Market—a strategic conversation about business opportunity, community spending, ownership, and building an economic ecosystem that lasts.

A strong brand should be felt before a customer ever buys anything.

From the booth setup and signage to the packaging, colors, and overall presentation how you show up matters.

At the 1887 Night Market, we love watching businesses grow and turn a simple vendor space into a full brand experience. These are just a few of many intentional business owners who show up and treat their booth like their store front. 🔥🔥

See yall First Saturday August 1, 2026!

Sometimes growth is quiet.

Sometimes it looks like stepping away so your roots can grow deeper before anyone notices the leaves.

There have been seasons of waiting, stretching, rebuilding, and trusting that what was planted would one day bloom. Growth has never been comfortable but neither has becoming.

This weekend, something beautiful took root.

🌱 The 1887 Little Makers Village was introduced at the 1887 Night Market; a space where children are invited to create, plant, imagine, and remember that every great legacy begins with a single seed.

This wasn’t just an activity area.

It was an investment in our future.

A reminder that resilience lives in our lineage. That our ancestors planted trees whose shade they would never sit beneath. That creativity is inherited. That community is cultivated. That healing often begins with getting our hands back into the soil and creating with intention.

For NuFolk, this marks an intentional beginning.

A return, not to where we’ve been but to the vision we’ve always carried: nurturing Black families, honoring our history, reclaiming our connection to land, birth, wellness, creativity, and community.

We’re grateful to build this alongside The Ville CDC, in the historic Town of Eatonville, where legacy continues to inspire what comes next.

To every child who planted a seed…
To every family who stopped to create…
To every volunteer who believed in the vision…

Thank you.

This is only the beginning.

The seeds have been planted.

Now we grow.
🌱🤎✨

Rain ☔️ or Shine
And thank you to every vendor, resident, and visitor who braved the weather to support local businesses in Historic Eatonville. Weekends like this remind us that community isn’t built on sunny days alone.

From serving soul food through community staple @_kooknwithkim to creating flavorful plant-based meals with Mr. Coke’s Plant Based Paradise, this is what growth looks like. 🌱

Mr. Coke’s Paradise joined us for Sunday Dinner, bringing food that’s full of flavor, culture, and purpose. His journey is a reminder that our vendors don’t just sell food they evolve, innovate, and continue serving the community in new ways.

Support local. Support Black-owned. Support businesses that continue to grow.

📍Shout out to Mr. Coke’s Plant Based Paradise for being part of Sunday Dinner at the 1887 Night Market! 💚
