May 12th was the day I understood why something as simple as a cap, a gown and a piece of paper can mean so much to me. These things represent years of passion, frustration, uncertainty, and ultimately perseverance that turns all pain into an investment if you see it through. Although I’m aware this moment is a celebration of the work I put in to achieve my goal, I want to acknowledge my family and every friend,connection, mentor, and aquiantence I’ve made during this journey. You are the source of the endurance I have to push through hard days and long nights. Without you, I would not have seen the growth I have or felt the conviction to overcome any obstacles I face as I continue my journey to a better me. Thank you for keeping me strong! All in all, a piece of paper turned out to be worth its weight in gold🖤💛🦉
