Metamorphosis of a Black Man

_____________________________
I remembered you was conflicted
Misusing your influence, sometimes I did the same
Abusing my power, full of resentment
Resentment that turned into a deep depression
Found myself screamin’ in the hotel room
I didn’t wanna self-destruct
The evils of Lucy was all around me
So I went runnin’ for answers

01.22.26 marks the first Japanese Vinyl Night hosted by The Black Digital Archive (BDA)

I can say with all my heart without Tadaima there would be no BDA. The love that @tadaima.asch pours into our community is second to none. I came in as a first time customer on 11.20.25 and was greeted with true kindness by the amazing @ez.photo . Eduardo took the time to share with me not only the story of Tadaima but also his lived experience as a father and photographer. From that day on I made an agreement within myself that I would do all I could to support the vision that @ezla.jpg laid out for Tadaima. In doing so I began to personally connect with Ezla who saw the light in me before I could see the light within myself. He pushed me to host their Vinyl nights which inspired me to create the BDA as a place for @tadaima.asch and others like it to exist in a forever space sheltered by gratitude for their contributions to creation. It has been nothing less than an honer to connect with everyone I have met from that experience stemming from 11.20.25.

With every fiber of my being I would like to say thank you to our @tadaima.asch family for inspiring the creation of the BDA. We will see you all again in February 🖤 - Mikey by @1amvivid
