Don’t mind me, just churning out some hats for when the kids start misplacing hats at sporting events, or for @noodlyknits hat drive!

Surprise pattern drop! This is the Perennial Shawl, which was originally the Jimmy Beans Wool Shawl Club design of 2021. Better late than never though, right?
I love how a Rhinebeck trip with friends always motivates me to get my butt in gear, so here’s a new (to you) shawl pattern that, with its 12 separate sections, could work beautifully as a sort of advent as we near the holidays.
Comment “shawl” to get a link in your DMs, or check out the link in my bio. The pattern is available on both Ravelry and my website.

I got the chance to try out the @caydo_official_ electric knitting machine, and I kinda wanna just feed all my scrap yarns in here to make a giant tube ...something.

It was easy to put together, and easy to use. I did find that some plyed yarns got split in the first round, so you’ll need to watch for that, but otherwise, the only downside is you have to remember to attach the next ball of yarn because this thing knits fast!

You can find the Christmas gift idea at the link in my bio! 😉

Another successful #rhinebecksheepandwool in the books!

I think the best part of the weekend is getting to reconnect with friends from all over whom I rarely get to see. The yarn is beautiful, the weather is gorgeous, the wallet is crying (so worth it), but the time spent with my yarn family is what I love best.

Bright moments, including but not limited to....
- road tripping with @platypuspower
- exploring Woolen Affair with @twoofwands
- meeting @liebeskindceramics
- hugging @knitcollage and @libbyknits and @gudrunjohnston and @barker.wool
- pico backs at @sorrycharliekingston
- drinking margs and playing LRC with the tribe by @1dogwoof

This is probably my most popular pattern - the Baby Humpback Whale. You can use just about any yarn, and make it in any size and color. 🐳

Comment Whale to get the link to the pattern.Wanna see it in person? I’ll be at @indieuntangled as a Featured Designer on Friday from 2-3:30pm. Come say Hi! 👋

Our sixth Featured Designer who will be joining us at Indie Untangled 2026 on October 16th is ChiWei Ranck of @1dogwoof! 🧶

ChiWei is a knitter and crocheter at One Dog Woof. I love how much fun and variety there is in ChiWei’s work, from clever bags and accessories to blankets, home decor, and adorable amigurumi.

Over on our blog, we asked ChiWei about her favorite type of yarn, her tips for knitters and crocheters, what is currently on her needles, and more.

Dressing up for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party with my girls. 👻

I haven’t been crocheting much lately, and that sweater wip has been sitting there waaaay too long, but it was nice to bust out the hooks, dig into the stash, and come up with some cute costumes for our girls trip to Disney.

Let me know if you’re interested in more details about what I did. I freehanded so I don’t have a pattern written, but maybe I’ll drop it in a newsletter!

Are you planning a fiber arts costume for Halloween? 🎃

The problem: No phones at camp. No knitting needles either.
The solution: Use purple yarn and random pencils you find in the art building to keep yourself occupied during free craft time.

Casual.

Even if you work from home like me, and your daily outfit has more elastic than buttons, the #DutchessCardigan works for just every day.
