We never belonged but it still felt like home - someone, probably, somewhere.

Thank you to the great nation of Canada 🇨🇦 for hosting me for the past decade. I honestly could never imagine my life without this place, for better or for worse. You’ve shown me rain (and HELLA snow), which I’ve tried to grow through, and sun (though supplemented by Vitamin D pills), which I’ve enjoyed.
It’s a deeply bittersweet farewell. I’m finally ready to close a chapter that was sometimes marked by violence and immorality, yet I have to acknowledge that I couldn’t have grown into the person I am today without every single part of it. The hardship and the beauty were entirely intertwined.
It’s weird saying goodbye to a place that literally watched me grow up from who I was into who I am today. Thank you for the safety, the endless opportunities, and of course, the friends-turned-family (I’ll miss my sisters and brothers). On to the next chapter. by @1eng1one
