I was given the true honour of painting Jeter for his Mama.

I wanted to honour Jeter’s memory to the best of my ability. From his Mom’s reaction & first words of… “that’s my dog, that’s him, you captured him perfectly”.

She made me feel like I was able to accomplish that.

Meet Howard.

I had the very true pleasure of painting this absolutely gorgeous fur baby, when the ladies at @soluxuryinc won the auction I was running.

With their winning bid, we got to donate 260.00 to @sheepriverdogrescue ! For absolutely everything this organization does so many beautiful fur babies in my community. They’re always looking for foster homes, supplies, donations & adoption families ( just putting it out there ).

Also, the ladies gifted the painting to Howard’s Mom.

So many paw-sitives came from this one auction.
Thank you @so.shylahraynechampagne & @so.amandasmith for your always phenomenal support. Love you ladies.

Finished…. Finally!

It takes me much longer than most artists, but I’m loving learning the process & what I’ve actually been able to create.
Are you a mountain lover? Birch trees are your thing?

*Auction Time*

Since being injured in July of 2018, having my dominant arm paralyzed & getting CRPS from the trauma of the injury, I’ve lived through all the ups and downs!

Severe unimaginable pain, depression, the process of mourning life as I knew it, loss of my independence, sever exhaustion, my career & especially my sense of self worth, amongst every other feeling you can think of.

Things I have gained though…

The want & desire to see the beauty in everything. The need to force myself not to give up or give in. The strength to force myself to inspire my daughters that “they can get through anything & everything in life”, and again amongst many other things, the desire to try to learn new things every chance I can.

I’ve loved art all my life, yet didn’t realize that I could create art that others would love. Since my injury, I’ve been trying to create “pretty” things for family & friends, to see them smile but mostly to try to learn & earn my sense of self worth back.

Self worth (once you lose the security of having that developed in you), is just SO hard to get back.
I’ve realized recently that I show my ppl in life my creations ( not to show off ), but to “seek” the rebuilding of my strength & belief in myself.

I use the quote, “I have CRPS, it doesn’t have me” because I’m not giving in!
I’m trying my hardest to create art, for me, for my family & for others to enjoy. I use my left hand now, it’s not easy, I concentrate so much on my fine motor skills, that it physically drains me.

So, now THE announcement!!!

I am auctioning off my very first “Pet Portrait Auction item”.
This will be your favourite photo of your pet, done in acrylic on a 12”x12” canvas, valued at 250.00, painted by me.

Donations will go to @conquercrps directly by you ( in my name ).

Starting bid will be 150.00, with increments of 10.00.

Auction ends Monday morning June 8th @ 10:00am!

Winner will be announced on instagram as well as a DM.

Winner receives their beautiful pet in acrylic!
@conquercrps receives a financial donation!

As you can tell I’m totally not done. About 60% complete actually, but I’m going to post anyways cause it’s going to take me a while to finish it.

I’m in awe of people’s talents, I’m in love with seeing the beauty in everything, I’m blessed to still keep trying. I’m hoping with every single class, with every attempt I make, with every YouTube video I watch & with every instagram account I follow, that I will get better over time.

@artistheatherpant I thank you for your patience, your encouragement, your talent and your willingness to share. You are a beautiful talented woman and I’m in total awe of you. You are VERY much appreciated.

Happy 25th birthday to my baby girl… Cayla tells me she’s now not my “baby girl” anymore, but we all know she is & always will be!!

Cayla was born with Chromosome 17p 13.1 micro duplication, which she was only the second child in the world diagnosed with this & the first girl. There are now four kids in world with this disorder.

What this means is that Cayla is unique & beautiful, funny & resilient, strong & intelligent, loves every animal on earth ( except crows ), is boy crazy & she’s got sarcasm down to a science, she’s an artist & loves music, she loves dancing and her dogs, she loves her family & her friends, she’s an ENTREPRENEUR & loves selling her soap and bracelets!!!

What does it all mean?!…. Cayla’s got different abilities AND her ability to live life to her fullest, is magical!!

This means Cayla is EVERYTHING to this Mama!!!

To see life through Cayla’s eyes, is such a beautiful thing. She sees life in such a different most beautiful way. I’m so blessed to get to share Caylas journey with her.
She’s teaches me daily & reminds me to enjoy the smaller things in life… and honestly, that’s something we all need to do. I just get the daily reminder from her.

Please if you can add Caylas instagram and start following her, that would be the world to her ( and me )!
