The 2026 Ole Longboard Surf Competition was EPIC!!! 🔥FINALLY!!!🔥 I've been hearing about these BIG fuzzy wuzzy bears up here in the NY Catskills, but I hadn't seen any UNTIL yesterday!!!🤯💯💪🏼🥳🤙🏽
Our property is nestled nicely in the forest, so all the major roads to the local towns, shopping, etc. are weaving deep throughout the backcountry. On our way home last night nearing dusk, I saw this black mass right off the road about 15ft up the hill. Errrrrrrrrrrrr, slammed the breaks, whipped out the camera real quicklick (always gotta be ready), and the first shot you see is a beautiful BIG ASS momma! Then the second shot, I looked straight ahead 15ft right off the road, her cute little big baby🥰😍😬. Lucky for me they didn't run to hills immediately, they walked down the other side of the hill grazed for a min, all the while she would constantly stick her head and nose in the air smelling our energy and whatever else.... Pretty epic to be so close to crazy powerful beasts in the wild. The final shot was another momma bear, taken this morning just a 10min walk from the house. She was just chillin and at first all I saw was the top of her head and ears. She looked up checked me out and.... well, I'll save that story and pics for the next post💯💪🏼 But happy to say its prime time bear season on the East coast and as one finger got chewed off by the bear my typing is a bit slow......just seeing who made it this far in the reading. A Charming CUTE Nature Story...!!!😍🦉🧐🤭🤙🏽🔥
What started as a simple forest walk in upstate NY turned into a feeling of somebody's/thing is watching me!!! Then as I scanned the trees for 3-4min I spotted two black eyes deep in the forest high up in the trees staring me down😳. As I continued my photoshoot with this cute little owl, piece by piece I found another fuzzy baby, and all the way to the finale!!! I've had this vision on my mind for a year or so about a photo with a few different Maui animals and a rainbow. Ive been wanting to capture this first shot especially, where the full frame of the shot is an epic Maui rainbow and then in the foreground is the subject enveloped by the colors. I'm feeling pretty stoked on what I captured🥳, its almost as I envisioned it and funny how its manifested as we have just begun the year of the Fire Horse🔥🐎. The 1st, 4th and 5th images especially I am in the process of printing on a beautiful large shimmering metal 30x48!!! If you see an image in here that you'd like to print DM me for sizes/ideas and details🤙🏽🙏🏽. OH and what do you think about the shots???? Which is your favorite #1-8 I'd really love to hear. Lastly, many of you have seen my Maui Axis buck shots but thats next. Laying in fields for hours waiting for the buck to perfectly align with the rainbow and then 🤩🎉 time!!!
