Currently doing a rebuild on my 650/ 550 ski. We literally just threw this together last season and had no idea how it would go.
The engine ran fine all summer but the driveshaft bearings were showing signs of failure.
While I have it apart I thought I would tied up the hull.
A friend offered to wrap it. Check out the last photo and tell me what you think.

Something a little different today. Not just the normal audio install. The customers request was more bass. ( a lot more bass). Upgraded full audio system new speakers and a custom sub box. They were extremely happy with the outcome.

The 550 rebuild is coming together nicely. Got the old engine out and have the new 650 mockups done. Just need to finish cleaning up the engine bay before painting. Hope to have it ready to ride again soon.

This was a great project. The customer wanted to upgrade the engine and pump in their jet boat.
We decided on the Kawasaki ultra 260 drive line.
Adding variable trim and cruise control.
I was able to incorporate the existing gauges into the Kawasaki wiring. This was done by making a new wiring harnesses for the Kawasaki controls. The final result is a seamless install that looks like it’s factory.

Well it’s been a busy start to the year. We made the decision to sell the SXR800 and go with a new super jet this season that will be arriving very shortly 😊 wiring up some mini jet boats this one with a Kawasaki 15f motor. Replacing a leaking driveshaft bearing and installing a factory dry pipe on a friend’s SXR800.

This is my next project ski. I’ve had it for a while just sitting in the shed without an engine. I was given an old 650 with a broken lower crank case and was able to get it going with some spare parts I had.
This should be a bit of fun to muck around on and try out some tricks.
I will be installing a Kawasaki 800 engine and pump with variable trim to turn it into more of a freestyle ski.
I have removed all the bumpers and tray mats.
Cut in foot holds ready for glassing.
Trying to make it as light as I can.
