RIP to this black bear the Grand Teton National Park decided to literally unalive in the name of “conservation”

The park determined to LETHALLY remove this creature from its natural home instead of relocating, wiping yet another innocent animal from the face of the earth.

They claim it’s because the bear was getting into human foodstuffs and supplies left over by human occupants, and instead of cracking down on littering or said human occupants, they chose to m$rder this poor bear to “fix” the problem.

When are we going to leave these territories to the animals that live there? When are we going to STOP killing innocent animals in the name of conservation? When will the absolute piss-poor, human-centered management of our wildlife end? When will we decide to invest in the ecosystems around us instead of destroying them constantly?

Edit 1: According to Grand Teton National Park, this bear did not injure or attack any humans in the area, and solely killed the bear because THEY deemed it a "safety risk" despite the bear being in what they themselves call a "remote area" of the park. They sedated and killed this bear within a week of investigating the tip.

I decided the animal deserved a better name, so I named them Blackberry in honor of their fondness for food. (And also a great excuse for a dad joke)

Hi, I’m Chris — Lord of your Dreams, and it’s about time we properly met 🖤

A few things you should know about me:

🎵 I’m a classically trained singer with a range from Soprano 1 to Tenor 2 — yes, that’s nearly the whole keyboard. I’ve performed at Disney and on Progressive Field, which are two sentences I never expected to say in the same breath.

📚 I’m obsessed with history — anything before the Cold War has my whole heart. The older the better.

🧠 I live with AuDHD and severe anxiety and I advocate loudly for mental health because nobody should have to navigate that alone or in silence.

🖤 I’m bigender — which means I am both 100% man and 100% woman, 200% of the time. Always.

This page is where all of that lives out loud.

Welcome. 🖤

I had such a blast wandering around, making new friends, and goofing off with strangers who felt anything but strange 🫂❤️🏰

This piece is an ode to a tragedy I recently learned about that took place in 2024; the courage, determination, and sacrifice three women displayed inspired me to write this sonnet in their honor.

❤️‍🩹CPTSD (Complex PTSD) isn’t just flashbacks. Your nervous system stays on high alert long after the danger’s gone. Racing heart, shutting down, going quiet. This is what that looks like on camera.❤️‍🩹
