We planned for everything… except those clouds carrying the rain.

For Manny and Jillian’s engagement session at Washington Oaks, we picked the day to avoid crowds and the time to beat the heat. The goal was simple: relax, have fun, and create another memory before wedding day.

But that drive to the park? You would've thought we were driving through a hurricane. Once we got to the park, Jillian said, “Hey, we’re open. Let’s try it.”

And I’m so glad we did. No rain, a beautiful afternoon, and even a sunset on the way home.

It reminded me of something I hope every couple takes into wedding day: you can plan every detail, but leave a little room for the unexpected. You’ve got your person beside you, and sometimes that’s where the best memories begin.

Starting the Happily Evans After with a bang.

When I asked Des and Jahs who tells their love story better, their answer was simple: they tell it better together.

An online connection became seeing each other every day, and over four years later, they’re preparing for forever. Somewhere along the way, “I want to see you again” became “I want you to meet my family.”

Leading up to this engagement shoot in St. Augustine the weather try to play games with us.

But I stalked the radar and guess what . . . Not a drop of rain.

Ended up having the most gorgeous sunset.

Soon after the engagement shoot I got the sweetest email and it reminded me why my level of care for each couple matters to me.

Kayla & Trent are the definition of enjoying life with the person you love.

Their engagement session started in sunshine, but somewhere along the way the sky turned gray, and the rain began to fall. Honestly, no one ran or made a fuss about the rain, and it just made sense for them.

Because when you're with the person you're choosing for the rest of your life, a little rain doesn't ruin the moment. It just becomes another adventure. Another memory you get to collect together on the way to saying “I do.”

And watching these two, you can tell that's exactly how they move through life. Laughing, loving, and making the most out of whatever the day gives them. by @21.9films

Mitchell & Stefanie.
Engagement sessions are usually about two people celebrating the start of their next chapter… but this one felt a little bigger than that.

Because for Mitchell & Stefanie, this isn’t just about becoming husband and wife. It’s about the family they’re building, the life they’re creating, and having their little one right there in the middle of these memories with them.

One day, he'll be able to look back and see his parents' love during one of the most cherished seasons of their lives. He will get to see the laughs, the way they looked at each other, and just how much love surrounded him before the wedding day even came.
