Got the opportunity to chat it up with Elizabeth, Ethan and Wes on their @almostfamiliarpod ! I miss the times I’ve gotten to interact with fam so to be able to share my experiences with them for all of you was really appreciated. I’m an awkward bird so please excuse me for that but hopefully you still think it’s worth a listen 😂 I love Pretty Lights Music and this chat we have gives you a bit of insight why.

2 things off the top of my head that I totally spaced mentioning:

1. Shoutout to The Untz for giving me so many Photography opportunities including, Sonic Bloom 2015, BassLights 2015, Gem and Jam 2016, Buku 2016, BassCenter 2016. Also thank you for putting up with my procrastination bullshit, still very sorry about taking so long to get photos to y’all!

2. CounterPoint 2012 was the fucking best and I didn’t even elaborate bc I like circled around a question and didn’t fully answer bc I’m the worst!! But @michalmenert learned through one of the PLFam that we didn’t want to miss out on the PLM showcase nor did we want to miss any @prettylights . The sets were complete opposite sides of the festival. A few of the PLFam that stayed at the set got to walk over with Mic and were handed pit passes that we had to fight over. I was lucky enough to snag one and I was able to gift Menert the PLFam Red Rocks 2012 pin. That was my first interaction with him so perhaps that clarifies my adoration of him a bit. by @214_art

Around this time last week I was capturing moments such as this. I was absolutely honored to be granted the opportunity of shooting photos for the 10 year anniversary of @prettylights preforming at Red Rocks, thanks to @michalmenert . My introduction of my now home of 5 years, Colorado, was PL/RR in 2012 which also happened to be my first time witnessing the magic that is Michal and the giant group of PLFam. The fact that in these 6 years I have accomplished so much and met so many thanks to the people who inspire me most blows my mind everyday. I forget how much I love Lone Wandering because I'm less alone nowadays. I also forget how much my legs and feet enjoy hiking. Which is not at all. Although it was a struggle for me to climb the dunes I told myself to go to the highest visible one (until you see more beyond that, then I was like 'no'). Not once during the 4 hours I climbed did I worry about my Crohns and how much of an issue it would be to distance myself from a restroom. I just kept going. Listening to @prettylights while I pushed myself into the magnificent vast surrounding. I am so glad after 5 years of living here I went to a place I've been wanting to visit. This sticker is absolutely the coolest thing I own. Never will it be stuck to anything.
Listen was a rap/hiphop/dubtronica group consisting of Derek Vincent Smith, Michal Menert, Cory Eberhard, and Ken Daley back in 2003 if I'm not mistaken. I never really cared for much rap or even hip hop growing up but hearing them spit about the future and considering they were at the end of their teens. It is just always been incredible and inspiring to me. The music they ended up making changed my perception of music and ultimately my path in life. I am too into music, AES and Uncle D don't make that any easier on me by having 14years worth of relatable and beautiful tunes. Thank you Mikey for parting with it and allowing me to own a piece of history. PLease give a listen to Listen. You won't regret it. #Listen #ListenCrew @prettylights @michalmenert
