🚨 WAIT… THAT WIG WASN’T SUPPOSED TO GET CAUGHT! 😂🎬
One of the most memorable moments from Living Single happened because something went completely wrong.
At the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF), The Midwest Takeoff had the opportunity to sit down with legendary actress Anne-Marie Johnson, who took us behind the scenes of one of her unforgettable moments from the classic sitcom.
Anne-Marie, who played Sheila Kelly, was in the middle of an argument with @erikaalexanderthegreat Maxine “Max” Shaw.
She storms out of the room…
Turns around…
And then — her wig gets caught on a coat rack. 😳😂
She was stuck.
But instead of stopping the scene, Erika Alexander stepped in, freed her, and they kept going.
The moment was completely unplanned. The audience was laughing so hard that the production had to pause — and what started as an accident ended up becoming part of the finished episode.
🎬 No script. No rehearsal. No second take. Just two talented performers trusting the moment.
And sometimes, those unexpected moments become the ones audiences remember forever.
🔥 Anne-Marie Johnson just gave us the story behind the scene.
🙏🏾 A special THANK YOU to GCUFF for creating the space for The Midwest Takeoff to connect with incredible talent and hear the stories behind some of the moments that helped shape television history.
Now we want to hear from YOU:

🚆🚀 THE MIDWEST TAKEOFF — SEASON 6 COMING SOON🎥🚀

LIFE DOESN’T WAIT FOR YOU.
IT KEEPS MOVING.

Look at the train.

It’s going somewhere.

And so are you.

Somewhere between the person you were and the person you’re becoming… there’s a moment when you realize:

YOU’VE COME TOO FAR TO STOP NOW.

Every destination started with a decision.
Every success story started with a dream.
Every star had a moment when nobody knew their name.

But they kept moving.

They showed up.
They stayed consistent.
They put in the work.
And eventually… the world had no choice but to notice. ⭐

That’s what The Midwest Takeoff represents.

Not just entertainment.

MOVEMENT.
OPPORTUNITY.
CULTURE.
AMBITION.
EXCELLENCE.

For years, we’ve been creating a platform where the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, creators, and visionaries can step into their moment and let the world see what they’re capable of.

Because sometimes the difference between “What if?” and “I did it”…

is simply refusing to miss your train. 🚆

So wherever you’re headed—

KEEP GOING.

Your destination may be closer than you think.

🚀 THE MIDWEST TAKEOFF
SEASON 6 • COMING SOON💯🚀

WHERE STARS COME TO SHINE. ⭐

We love you all.

🎬 SOMETIMES THE PROJECT YOU'VE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT IS THE ONE YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS MOST.
For Fastlife Bolo, creating passion projects centered around Black history, culture, and the experiences of Black people isn't just another creative opportunity.
It's something he's wanted to do for years.
And when he finally saw that vision come to life, the excitement was real.
Because Cleveland doesn't just need entertainment.
Cleveland needs stories that reflect its people, its culture, and its history.
Bolo is using his creativity to help tell those stories — and that's bigger than making content.
That's preserving culture through film. 🎥✊🏾
🔥 The dream became the passion project.
🔥 The passion project became representation.
🔥 And representation matters. #BlackHistory #PassionProject #Culture #Cleveland #Representation #DreamsComeTrue #Community by @216hundo
