The Dual-Mastery of Form and Build: How Ar. Christopher Chad Go and 22AD Studio Redefine Philippine Architecture In a built environment where design and construction are frequently treated as distant disciplines, true architectural mastery emerges when a single mind commands both with equal brilliance. Rooted in Cebu City, 22AD Studio stands as a monument to this rare synergy. At its epicenter is Principal Architect and Principal Contractor Ar. Christopher Chad Go—a visionary whose relentless pursuit of excellence across both architectural design and field construction, and his experience coming from pillars of the industry such as Ar.Anton R Mendoza (ARM), Lor Calma & Partners and Arkinamix Architecture by Ar. Alex Medalla; Go is quietly reshaping industry standards across the Philippines. Alongside Katrina Go, Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director, Ar. Chad Go has forged a practice that elevates Modern Tropical design into an art form backed by uncompromising structural integrity. #philippinearchitecture #moderntropicaldesign #architecture #cebucontractor The Genius of Dual-Mastery: Bridging Vision and Reality What sets Ar. Chad Go apart within the Philippine architectural landscape is his rare, complete command over the life cycle of a building. Rather than delegating the translation of his designs to external builders, Ar. Chad bridges the historic divide between architect and master builder. He believes that architectural brilliance is incomplete if it cannot be executed down to the fraction of a millimeter on site. His contributions to the industry stem from this holistic philosophy: elevating construction to the level of fine art while instilling rigorous structural discipline into architectural concept design. By mastering both realms, he eliminates the compromises, inaccuracies, and miscommunications that often dilute ambitious architecture during construction. “Architecture must transcend beyond aesthetics and become meaningful. When the hand that draws the line is also the hand that lays the steel, design achieves its purest, uncompromised form.” — Ar. A study in balance and refinement, this two-storey residence expresses warmth and order through clean lines, rhythmic patterns, and tactile materials. Its elongated, horizontal form—shaped by the site’s proportions—is softened by deep eaves, layered textures, and a restrained palette of natural tones that bring warmth and subtlety to its modern character. Designed with an emphasis on privacy and human scale, the house tempers its expansive façade through carefully proportioned volumes and finely detailed timber screens that filter light and views. The result is a quiet interplay of openness and seclusion, where the entry unfolds through a serene forecourt of stone, tree, and shadow—introducing a language of calm precision that extends throughout the home. #22AD #Architecture #Design #ArchitecturePH taken in Cebu City by @22ad.studio

MOAL: A Contemporary Tropical Retreat The project sits on a two-hectare beachfront property in Moalboal. The masterplan brings together guest rooms, cabanas, private villas, and a convention center within a lush coastal landscape. Low, refined structures weave through greenery, creating a calm indoor-outdoor experience that frames views of the sea. Moal is envisioned as a serene escape where architecture, nature, and comfort come together in one cohesive resort destination. A Foundation Takes Shape at Vera Estates In the quiet rise of Talamban’s hills, progress begins not with walls or windows, but with the steady pour of concrete—measured, deliberate, and full of intention. At our Design & Build project in Vera Estates, today’s concrete pouring marks the moment when vision meets permanence. Concrete is often seen as the most ordinary of materials, yet it is the one that anchors every architectural story. Its strength is born from precision: the right mix, the right timing, the right hands guiding it into place. As the surface takes form, so does the promise of what will one day stand here—thoughtfully designed, structurally sound, and built to endure. In construction, these foundational days rarely make headlines, but they are the quiet chapters that define the rest of the narrative. Today, we celebrate that beginning. A study in balance and restraint — this contemporary mausoleum blends solemnity with modern minimalism. Defined by clean vertical planes, natural stone textures, and the interplay of light and shadow, the structure evokes both permanence and serenity. The muted palette and open layout invite reflection, while the refined detailing ensures a timeless architectural expression of remembrance. Architecture meets reverence — where space, silence, and light honor memory. taken in CEM Park, Banilad, Cebu City by @22ad.studio
