An example of where I'm up to with the #oldhammer #spacewolves that I'm painting for a local school's wargaming club, having salvaged them from the last @bedfordtabletopexpo bring and buy. 37 minis in total. Need to get some transfers on next and then I can oil wash, highlight and get the OSL done.

The gold is AK's True Metal wax paint. It's a pain to use but gives a super smooth finish.

Yes, I know. The irony of painting them essentially grey is not lost on me!

Most of the airbrushing on this lot is now complete. I just need to deal with the librarian and take a view on the wolves, but either way the next job is to get some yellow done.

Happy with the tones, which consist of layers of various blue-greys over an underpainting of hull red. Some individual shots will show it up better.

You may recall that a while ago I gave away a few Space Wolves minis from a job lot that I bought at a bring and buy sale to get my hands on some bikes, heavy weapons and a rhino. Anyway, a local teacher put a post on socials asking for donations to her school's wargaming club, so I've cleaned up and fixed the rest of it. Mould lines removed, barrels drilled, a bit of conversion where necessary. Here it all is, ready for airbrushing. The club can then finish off the details. 🐺

Hello, lovely people. I've not been able to engage with the demon prince recently because my mind hasn't been in the right place for it, but I've been doing a bit of old school building, including a solution to the age-old conundrum of how to get RTB01 marines to hold their bolters properly. Anyway, I think I've cracked it. Lots of pinning... Let me know what you think! Many more of these to do.

When I got chatting to Liam @seabeardminiatures a while back, he happened to mention The North and it turned out that we both come from the same little village in Yorkshire. Small world!

I'm up here to help my mum pack for a move closer to me, so it was a great opportunity to meet up for lunch and talk about all things Warhammer. Good times.

Cheers! 🍻

I've collected a few (ahem) poppy seed heads from the garden which look ideal for Nurgle's Garden / tyranid infestation deployment. Pale blue / brown tones are already rather unsettling.

Thanks to those of you who have entered this giveaway so far! I've been making progress on stripping off the old paint and the Iron Priest has come up very nicely!

If you'd like the chance to win an OG metal Space Wolves character, including this Iron Priest, the Wolf Priest and Logan himself, please reply to my previous post, which has full details for entry. 😊👍🏻

Cheers!

James
