Hi I’m Amanda, name + face behind 2383 Farms!

My brand is not changing, but my reason why + what is so important to me is going to be portrayed a little differently from here on out! No worries, agriculture & our farm will still be forefront, but I have so much more to talk about than just thatšŸ˜‰

Let’s start with an intro to all these new faces I see + all you wonderful people that have followed from the start!
I love gardening, popcorn, being on the farm, reading about functional health practices, a bike ride, warm fuzzy blankets, cute planners, watching Husker football, essential oils, and anything to do with pigs.
I am a wife, a mother, a business woman, an entrepreneur. With these titles I hold a lot of jobs that have to get done everyday. Some days I sit down at the end and wonder how fast I got here. A complete spiral in not knowing which way to go first or where to start. I often feel like I fall short as a mom. My kids + husband deserve so much better than what I have left to give them at the end of the day.

I’ve taken a good look at what I want my life to look like and what I want to be present for and what was happening, was not it. I took a step back, asked myself what do I need to be doing, and how can I take care of my family the best way I know how to.

I have some big changes coming. I’ve taken the first part of this year to work on myself, there’s a lot left to go, but I am focusing the last part of the year helping other busy moms realize they’re doing an amazing job, + some of the easiest ways to improve what we do everyday to achieve that ā€œfeel like enough momā€ award in our hearts.
I was just sent by a dear friend ā€œonly good moms worry if they’re a good momā€
There’s nothing more true!

So if you want to be one of the first to know about a big expansion of ideas to 2383 farms happening soon, I suggest you join my email list! Message me & I’ll add you- have I mentioned I am not good at technology!

Also in my growth I’ve really stepped out of my comfort zone + became comfortable being ā€œdifferentā€- like being comfortable wearing this hat + outfit!

There’s been a few new people here since I’ve done an introduction, so let’s dive in(anyone with young children know! Rock on Zuma!)

I’m an agricultural enthusiast who went to college to get a degree in animal science. Some how I married into a row crop & cow calf farm & ranch, and here I am a farm wife & a boy mom. We raise corn, beans, & alfalfa. You can find me always tagging along checking cows or irrigating when I should be doing lots of other things!

Here’s some interesting things about me you may not know! But wait…I want to know interesting things about you as well! Share pleasešŸ‘‡šŸ¼

✨I have raised show pigs ever since I can remember with my dad. I started while in 4-H but have continued since. I actually wanted to get a masters in swine nutrition, but I met my husband instead and thought two more years of college was for the birds
✨I’m an enneagram 3 - the achiever. Don’t give me good ideas, I’ll take them & run. Not like I don’t have enough on my plate already
✨I found a new found love for beets this year. If I’m going to make my kids eat them, I probably should too
✨On our ranch we’re 4-wheeler cowboys, but if it was up to me, we’d saddle up & ride
✨I’m an avid essential oil & natural remedy user. I’ve spent hours researching so much education on these topics I could almost be qualified in something about them
✨I don’t like standing around watching when it comes to animal agriculture. If we’re working cows, I don’t want to stand and watch or write numbers, I want to be part of the action. But I keep my comments to myself and help where I’m needed, even if it is writing numbers. I have good handwriting, so you’re welcome(my hubby) down the road when you can read them
✨I started my direct to consumer beef business when my baby was three months old. Please refer above to enneagram 3 & you’ll know why

I hope you enjoy following along on my mixed up, messed up, beautiful life I’m living with my family on our farm & ranch. I hope you can step into what it is we do here, and learn that somehow we’re all connected no matter where you’re located.

Enjoy the happy mess you will find herešŸ¤šŸ¤ by @2383farms

I got this guy off the farm for 10 days (completely against his will), but I think secretly he enjoyed it more than he’ll ever let on!

We got sunburns, had a few too many drinks, got a few blisters, walked a few hundreds of thousands steps, and sweat just a tid bit🄵

Florida you were good to us🌓
Hopefully we’ll see ya again soonšŸ˜‰wait who am I kidding we have cows - see ya maybe in 20!

It’s been a week since FWC & I’ve had some time to reset and take it in.

It was almost year ago after FWC ā€˜25 that I started working with @kylieepperson_ in my mind to grow my business. And I’m not saying I didn’t do that in some way, but I truly just needed to unravel. I thought I was taking it easy and just letting opportunity come to me, but I was still pressing on ways that did not serve me. I was always striving for more.

Fast forward to FWC ā€˜26. Kylie talked about ROI the first night and I so happily sat there and for once in my life expected absolutely nothing out of this experience other than to just be present in the moment & take it in.

Little did myself or Kylie know a few months after working together my life would spin upside down. COMPLETELY SHAKEN from everything I had ever known.
& while I worked on myself years prior and made huge strides, I also worked on myself a year ago when I wanted to slow down. So when my world came to a halt, I did not crumble, I did not feel worthless, I did not choose to hide in the corner and give up, & I didn’t let my productivity define my worth. I focused on the important pieces of life and had no expectation on the rest. Ask me 4 years ago if id of been able to do that - ABSOLUTELY NOT!

As I sat listening to speakers this year, I was able to just sit and take it in without thinking what I need to take from this to be successful. But a common theme throughout the weekend was letting go to free up space for something else. While I’m not letting go of some of my dreams, I’m happy to not be taking those on in a moment that has me emotionally pulled in every direction.

I’ve folded my hands and lift up my prayers and dropped all the rest of my worries that don’t truly need to be worries to allow for family, prayer, joy, togetherness, and thankfulness - instead of fear, anger, worry, and anxiety like I would have in the past.

A lot can happen in a year, so go make the most of it, and do things to enjoy them not always because you need something in return.

By far my favorite yearšŸ¤Ž& go get yourself some great gal pals by @2383farms

We try not to watch tv a whole lot this summer, but some days we just do. Lately we’ve been watching superbook all about stories from the Bible.

The boys have been loving it so much they’ve been fighting over who gets to be Moses and who gets to be God🫣please God intervene and guide their decisions to not fight over who gets to be youšŸ˜‚

Poor baby sis without say gets to be ā€œbaby Christ.ā€ I promise I did save her from her misery after this!

Make sure to catch the clip of Moses carrying baby Christ and almost falling over his staffšŸ˜‚

I love imaginative play and if we’re doing anything right, let it be that they act out bible stories(minus the fighting)🫠

We’ve been living life and living it good latelyā˜€ļø

We spend more hours outside in our backyard than I can count, we’re loving stroller walking & bike rides. Family suppers and popsicles. Exploring & adventuring.

We don’t want these summer days to end because sunshine & fresh air are sure good for this mama’s soul these daysšŸ¤ by @2383farms

Today and everyday this mother goose deserves to be celebrated🩷

It’s always been our family joke that mom is mother goose. She has always put us kids and grandkids first and taken care of everyone else before herself.

She’s always been great at
Driving to work phone calls listening to me chit chat about absolutely nothingā˜Žļø
Making sure to always send food home with us to make our life easieršŸ
Going out of her way to be at every kid and grandkid event, because she’s all our #1 fanāš¾ļø
She has always been my biggest cheerleader & supporter of my crazy dreams - and is always a helping hand in making those come to lifešŸ“£
She’s raised us up & set the best example of knowing right from wrong & showed us to put our faith firstāœļø

This Mother’s Day hits a little differently, but there is so much to be thankful for. Because of mom and her example my whole life I have a good faith foundation to lean into and appreciate the work God’s hand has in everything that we’ve been given with mom now and in the past.

Today and everyday - go hug your mom, thank her for everything she’s done, go hug your own babies, and be that mom that sets an example so years down the road your kids tell someone how great mom was in shaping them in ways we as moms don’t see right now🩷

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, grandma, aunt, & godmothers out there! by @2383farms

There’s quite a few new faces here, so let’s do a little introduction of who I am and what you’re going to see here.

I’m Amanda, first a wife to a farmer and mom to 3 babies I love more than anythingā¤ļø

I’m the owner and all things operator of my own small business 2383 Farms where I sell our home raised beef direct to consumer, get a little creative with some recipes and have created my own cookbook, and stepped out of my shell and started my own podcast now known as ā€œThe crunchy farm mom.ā€

I’m not full time SAHM. I work part time as a crop insurance agent at an office, then the other half of the week when I’m home I’m running my beef business in between the cracks of being mom, getting kids where they need to be for school and activities, making meals, cleaning the house, and also trying to make it a fun little life for my kids!

Some things you may not know about me
-I love gardening. I don’t keep it up top notch, but I get enough to eat and can for us!
-I will never turn down sunshine and a margarita
-I love learning about food and how it works for my body in positive ways and utilizing that in my health and my families, but I also really like pizza and will occasionally eat it cold for breakfast
-I took my health into my own hands before my last pregnancy and was in probably the best shape, eating habits, workout routine of my life - was sick the first 17 weeks of my pregnancy, got back on track and kicked gestational diabetes butt with diet alone, only gained 17 lbs my whole pregnancy - but now trying to get those habits and routine back pp is a killer
-I am a huge lover of 4-H and did it growing up
-mom role comes before everything else as you can see that’s most of my pics
-I have an animal science degree and love helping on the farm but honestly I don’t feel like my place is always there at this point in life. Sometimes home is right where mom and the kids need to be

I always love keeping things as real as our real lives here. Not always pretty pictures, not thought out captions and reels. This is my place to share what I enjoy and I hope you enjoy stepping a little into my life on the day to day.

Nebraska holds a large sector of agriculture that sometimes we’re not always recognized for because we’re just Nebraska. (Which surprisingly a lot of people across the US have no idea where Nebraska is)

But there’s a lot of friends and family I know that have been directly involved in this fire and it’s detrimental to their operation.

They’ve been given amazing pasture land that is made for grazing cows (I truly believe God placed this part of the world remote where not many people know about itā¤ļø) but now that it’s burned and the grass will not grow the best until rains start helping the ground, they have a big problem to figure out. Where to go and what to feed to a large number of cattle.

This should be a big national story because this is a big deal that has just happened in this last week!

When I picked themes, I knew I had to find cows for March! Because in March we look at cows, we talk about cows, we feed cows, we watch cows, and our lives revolve around cowsšŸ˜‚

+ February a month late because that’s just how life is going lately🫠

If I can sway you into one thing, get themed matching pajamas for your kids and cherish the pictures forever🩵it has been so much fun!
A few months left - any guesses what April & May will be? I have them all bought already! by @2383farms
