Happy Book Birthday, @hollayghadery !
She is funny, she is observant, she is whimsical, she is self-deprecating (and not in an annoying way). And she is a constant champion of #CanLit, always showcasing and praising the community.
So proud of her today

Do I cry a lot?
You bet I do.
Did I cry over this remarkable, beautiful, time-consuming, creative gift one of my oldest friends gave me today?
You bet I did. by @23efg

The family that crafts together, lasts together. Okay that’s not a saying, but check out our ghoulishly foolish friends. by @23efg

Who made that stunning floral arrangement?
I did.

Under the creative and generous guidance of @thegardenthief, in the cherished company of @westerlywinds_

This, a belated birthday gift to me, was a gorgeous way to spend a couple of hours.

Okay friends, did you know the wildly talented folks at @wildnorthflowers have virtual floral workshops?
They’ll send you a bunch of florals and a link to step by step instructions to make the piece your own!

I was gifted one today by some beautiful people.
Was it as gorgeous as their creations? Not by a long shot. Do I love what I made? YES.

Here are my take aways…

#1) They sent SO MANY flowers. I was able to make two bouquets. (I only pictured one, and honestly I think the intent was to make that one MUCH bigger, but I was afraid of it I think. Next time I’ll go for the gusto)

#2) I lack dexterity! Holding a bunch of stems betwixt my fingers for an hour was tough. Kudos to the people who do that alllll day

#3) It was an amazing way to get out of my own head and be creative for an hour

#4) I learned not to be afraid of levels. When you stick flowers in a vase, the old school mentality is to make them all the same height. I will never do that again!

#5) A ranunculus is a thing of astounding beauty by @23efg

This post is called why is everything on a hill? I had a brief, but deep and intimate, relationship with inclines and stairs the past week of my life. #whyiseverythingahill #incline #steps #ExploreNL #Newfoundland by @23efg

2024 came to fight, but between the two of us I’m the only one still standing.
🔥
I wrote down all the things I wanted gone. The things that brought pain. The things that didn’t serve me. The things that made me feel less than. And in the first hour of this new year, on my balcony in the rain, I watched them burn. by @23efg
