Spring ‘26 Grad Spotlight - Alejandro Jose Rangel.

Alejandro Jose Rangel is a Los Angeles-based film director and composer from the undergraduate film program. As a director, he is motivated by telling humanistic stories driven by psychological drama, exploring themes like mental illness, religion, and boyhood, while also creating distinct visual worlds that feel both intimate and stylized. As a composer, he enjoys writing scores that range from minimalist neoclassical drama to synthy ambient horror. Influenced by his background in music, he sees filmmaking as a form of composition; each project a kind of symphony for the screen. He also has experience in sound design, wardrobe styling, and is an award-winning production designer.

Congratulations Alejandro, your ArtCenter family wishes you nothing but success! by @24.aj_
