Another summer basically here and gone…The 240 has been too good! I hope to bring it out to something soon. I picked up this Highlander a few months ago and it’s one hell of a vehicle. Waited a long time for the right one, and this one being a local one owner, and limited trim….it was well worth the wait. 250k miles and I’ve got the upmost faith in it. I’m fiending for another S-chassis project, so don’t think I haven’t been looking anywhere and everywhere. Just been enjoying life in the meantime. by @240plug

The year was 2020 when this seemingly innocent s13 hatch was thrown up on the local marketplace. Unfortunately, what we thought would be a good car to get back up and running, ended up having a few unexpected surprises… it’s been 5 years since recording this, and then selling the car. Not sure where it’s at now, but the chassis was extremely solid. Hopefully it’s still out there. by @240plug

2024 in a 🥜… finally swapped the KA for the motor I’ve wanted for many years now, a notch top sr20det. Cleaned my fuel tank, which was an absolute bitch, and probably a waste of time all things considered…but the before and after was impressive. I sold the nx2000 to some rednecks who planned on circle track racing and I kind of regret it, they listed it for part out not 3 hours after buying it from me. Oof, allegedly less than 300 were made in 1993. I bought the newest vehicle I’ve ever owned, a 2006 SeaDoo GTI. My first 4-stroke ski, and I hope to hang onto it for a while. Put 11 hours of fun on it and can’t wait for summer 2025. Ended up with a z32 out of just pure fate, I’m not necessarily religious, but I really think the universe put me in that right place at the right time to end up with the car. More coming on it soon, weather is just awful. I finally finished college, got a new job. 2024 is the first year I haven’t bought a 240sx since 2016, so guess I gotta change my username. I rescued a 1994 Nissan 300ZX from the brink of being impounded and forgotten! The car needed some work to get it running. When I first got it, it was in a “no crank, no start” condition. Something was preventing the starter from engaging. After some troubleshooting, I discovered the rubber grommet on the clutch pedal, which triggers the clutch interlock switch, had worn out. Replacing that allowed the engine to crank, and within seconds, it fired up and built good oil pressure. However, the engine had a slight misfire, which I traced back to a faulty injector on cylinder 1. After replacing the injector, performing a fresh oil change, draining the old fuel, adding a full tank of 93-octane gas, and installing a new fuel filter, the car ran great. The clutch system, having sat for so long, had lost all pressure, so I replaced both the master and slave cylinders, which restored drivability. After a few test drives, I encountered a ground issue when starting the car. Despite cleaning up the original power/ground wires with a wire wheel, they were too corroded to be reliable. I replaced them with upgraded cables from Z1 Motorsports, which solved the problem. Been a few weeks since I took an unplanned turn down a random side street on my way to smoothie king. As I was going down the street, I saw an LMPD tow truck in the distance. To my surprise this 1994 300zx was sitting behind it. I had driven by this car many times previously, but it was only pure fate that I drove by it at this exact moment. The owner and tow truck driver were arguing as I pulled up on the car. I quickly worked out a deal with the owner, and the tow truck driver agreed to not tow it, giving me a few days to come get it. Reason for towing was due to many complaints from neighbors upset about an old junk car. Not the first old Nissan I’ve saved from the city lol. It’s been a nice project getting it sorted out. Getting it running took replacement of the clutch pedal rubber grommet for the clutch interlock switch. Replaced the clutch slave and master cylinder. Also, a new positive/ negative cable, since the original was corroded and not providing a solid connection. Lastly a good clean of years of street grime, and bringing back the interior. The z32 is a cool platform that I’ve been learning about, and it’s been a nice change of pace from S-chassis. #z32 #300zx #nissanz #nissan #vintagenissan by @240plug

Happy to see where this car is at now. Going on 7 years of ownership, I couldn’t have done it any differently. In January we pulled out the original KA in exchange for the motor I’ve always wanted in the car, an S14 Kouki Sr20det. Eight months later she’s running smoothly and is a blast to drive. Tackling the dirty gas tank was the most recent issue, but I think we’ve got it resolved after a few vinegar soaks and power washes. This winter I’ve got plans to do a lot of buttoning up and more upgrades, but for now I just want to enjoy it. The 350z wheels are getting old, and definitely looking for something new, just waiting for the right thing. #240sx #s13 #nissan #schassisloyalty #schassis #240sxlovers by @240plug

Trying to get my cherry red hatch finished here soon. Swapping the motor was one thing, but getting it to run right has been a process. It’s been idling really rich and still trying to troubleshoot before throwing more money at it. It’s gotta be something simple. @drewplummer has assumed main care taker role of Juniper for the national historic 240sx preservation society. Really can’t wait to drive both cars together. by @240plug

There were times when I just assumed this car was doomed. Hard to believe where it’s at now. It really came out from the mud, literally. It’s not a complete restoration like many other builds you see. Starting out It was completely put together from the spare parts bins. Spent a little over a year getting it to where it’s at now, and I think @drewplummer and I have touched about everything on the car. It has been a fun challenge and a ton of dirt in the eye balls. The past few months included fixing the windshield rust, and putting in a new windshield. All new brake and fuel hard lines. All new front suspension. Steering rack. Kaaz 2-way. Probably plenty more I’m forgetting. Have had this car for a little over 6 years. Got it completely stock from an old couple in Memphis. After all these years, I knew the next move was gonna be finally upgrading the drivetrain. Thought about going KA-T…until this S14 Sr20det notchtop came up for sale for a good price. Let the surgery begin.
