My September Wrap-up📚

Wild reverence was an absolutely fantastic read. It made me love DR's world even more.

The courting of bristol keats and Second death of Locke, I dnf'ed. They were not my cup of tea.

What a beautiful, heart-wrenching story!!!! 🥹❤️
Even though they got their happy ending, WHY do I still feel so melancholic?!!
I absolutely loved this book. It was lovely, wistful and beautifully done. There was so much happening from the very beginning that it was hard to take a break. Every chapter ended with "what's going to happen next?"
I loved the characters 🥹❤️❤️
And the reveal about how the typewriters became magical was a fantastic way to end the book. It makes me wanna read Divine rivals again even though I recently reread Book 1.
Now I REALLY need to read Ruthless Vows🤌🏻

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

This story follows a mage and his well (the source through which a mage can siphon their powers).

While the magic concept was unique, it wasn’t enough to keep me engaged. The plot felt slow and unfortunately didn’t hold my attention.

I also realized through this read that the friends-to-lovers trope isn’t one I enjoy much. When done well it might but here... Not at all

I DNF’d at 80%. I kept hoping it would pick up, but ultimately it didn’t work for me.

This ended up being a miss for me.

Has anyone else read this? I’d love to hear different perspectives 👇

Happy Saturday readers ☕📖

I randomly picked up 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦 yesterday on a whim.

Only 22% in but... I get it now. I was promised deep yearning and oh, it’s delivering.

Anyone else read this? No spoilers but HOW are we feeling about Locke 👀👇

My September TBR!!
Aka my delusional pile 📚

Am I gonna read any of these? Probably not.
I'm back to work and am busy 24/7 🥹

But I really wanna read at least one of these specifically 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩.

What books are you most looking forward to read in September?

Happy Tuesday!!!

August wrap up time. I read 8 books excluding 1 which I dnf'ed. Overall it was quite a good reading month.

I really enjoyed nightshade duology, fever dream and book 1 in the Isles of the gods.

I have mixed feelings about 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿. There were a lot of things which I didn't like and enjoy. Honestly there was only one plot twist I enjoyed (which happened at the end of the book) but almost 80% of the book was done by that time without much happening. And then suddenly, everything sort out in last 20%. I still don't think the MCs deserved a HEA together 🫪 but they got it anyways.

𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 has the worst plot twist ever!!! As soon as I was done with book 1, I saw a video of the books you should NOT read and guess which book was on the list. I wished I found the video before starting the book. Coz honestly, the worst book I read this year (or ever). I want to wipe my memory after reading it. I wanted to go back in time and stop myself from making that mistake🫪

After the Metal slinger, I honestly needed a break from fantasy so I read Fever dream and you can see how well that went.😂😂😂

Anyways this was my August wrap up.

Have you read any of these?
